With everything that's going on in the world right now, I know the last thing you may be thinking about is setting the table for Easter. But with Easter right around the corner, I still wanted to share an easy Easter table setting to help brighten our spirits. The celebration of Easter may be different this year, with each of us doing our own in-home intimate gatherings, but our desire to celebrate hasn't changed... especially at Easter. Today, I wanted to share a very easy and simple take on an Easter table setting that can be created with things we already have on hand. Even though I wanted to add fresh florals from the grocery store, I didn't. Instead, I thought of a ...

With entertaining season right around the corner, I wanted to share a simple fall table setting idea. And when I say simple, I mean simple. Today, I'm joining a wonderful group of bloggers to bring you a whole collection of table setting ideas. Alicia from Nick & Alicia invited me to join in, and I'm so happy to be bringing you an easy idea you can recreate in your own home. So many times, I know setting and decorating a table can be a little bit intimidating... but it doesn't have to be. And setting a beautiful table also doesn't mean it has to be anything extravagant or fancy. I kept it as simple as possible on my table, and I loved how easy it was to put together, and how lovely it ...
On The Search For New Dinnerware
You may be surprised to know, that even with all of the table setting and entertaining ideas I've shared over the years, I've never really had an "official" dinnerware set to use for everyday meals. I've collected a lot of dishes, mainly from thrift stores and estate sales, but they've never been in a complete set, or in perfect condition. Affiliate links are provided below. Full disclosure here. Several years ago, I bought a really pretty set, that I've showcased in so many table decor ideas, but there's always been a few things about them that I haven't loved. Todd and I have been using them exclusively since we got married, but the little things I'd noticed about ...

Pumpkin Fall Table
Last fall I decided I wanted to plant pumpkins. Lots and lots of pumpkins. I kept imagining a front porch full of them, so this spring I planted 4 different varieties. Fast forward a few months and I literally have pumpkins coming out of my ears. But, that's not really a problem, is it? Especially for a heart that loves fall. And another reason having baskets full of pumpkins isn't a problem? Fall tablescapes. That's right, today I'm bringing you another fall table idea, only this time, it's all about the pumpkins from my garden. I'm so happy Shannon from AKA Designs asked me to join in on her fall tablescapes tour. Let's get started, shall we? Since this fall table is all ...

I've joined forces with several other blogging friends to share beautiful entertaining ideas to get your creativity going! A big thank you to Lory from Designthusiasm for coordinating and inviting me to be part of this awesome group! For the table decorations this year, I wanted the main focus to be on the beauty of the fall season. For me, that means bringing the outdoor elements inside, and in the form of tree branch clippings. If you've read the blog for any length of time, you know that's just about my favorite way to decorate. ...
Fall Table Setting
Today, I'm sharing my first post specifically featuring the beauty of the fall season. It's one of my very favorite seasons, and for good reason! It's so full of gorgeous color, texture and beautiful outdoor elements that make decorating for the season so easy, and lovely! For today's post, I want to introduce my beautiful friend Chelsea and her gorgeous home. She and her husband moved into their new custom built home in March, and I was so happy, excited and honored that I could help with portions of their design decisions in their new home. When they moved in this Spring, she asked that I help her "spruce" things up, and that's exactly what I've been doing! I've slowly been helping ...
Easy Baby Shower Decor
Yesterday I shared how I made the lovely floral letter, and today I'm showing the simple way I decorated for my cousin's baby shower a few weeks ago. I have to admit though, that I completely forgot to take pictures once I had everything set up. It wasn't until lunch had been served and we were doing dishes that I realized I had completely spaced the pictures... Sometimes I amaze myself at how put together I am... ha! So, before we had everything completely put away and tidied up, I grabbed an extra plate and took a few pictures. Thus, this isn't exactly what it looked like, but it's pretty close. Just imagine the entire breakfast nook table, and dining room table, with a place ...
The Simple Thanksgiving Table Sources
Yesterday I shared how I created the simple Thanksgiving table. I love a pretty table for the holidays, but am all about doing it with what I have on hand, and on a budget. Below, I'm sharing the sources for each and every item I used to create our table. When I started decorating our table for Thanksgiving, I realized just how much I love to reuse items from our home. I love to give each and every item we own a multipurpose meaning. Sure, a wreath is know for hanging on a wall or door, but why not use it as a centerpiece? Same for the blanket I used as the table cloth. Decorating is about thinking outside of the box, and using what you have on hand in new, creative ways. Now, I ...
The Simple Thanksgiving Table
I can hardly believe it, but Thanksgiving is right around the corner. Most of us are probably in the early stages of planning, but today I thought I'd share the simple Thanksgiving table. No worry, no fuss, just a simple gathering to enjoy your family and friends. As you probably know, I always tend to decorate on the simpler side of things. Simple is in my blood. But just because something is simple, doesn't mean it's not beautiful. This year, I've created the simple Thanksgiving table. It's the table that doesn't leave room for stress, but focuses instead on the family gathering. It's the table that doesn't overwhelm guests, making them feel uncomfortable, but instead ...
Easy Fall Table Setting
With Holiday entertaining right around the corner, I wanted to share an easy, fast and really pretty way to set your table. Nothing fancy is required, and it's sure to be a show stopper! Have I ever mentioned how much I love soup? It's one of my very favorite meals, especially during Fall and Winter. I could quite possibly eat soup every week. It's cozy, comforting, yummy... and easy! So, I decided to share a "soup party" fall table setting idea. It's so easy, you can definitely re-create this for your next gathering... To start the table setting, I used this plaid blanket from Ikea as my runner. I folded it into thirds, quickly ironed out the major wrinkles, then draped it ...
Thanksgiving Table Setting
Thanksgiving is truly one of my favorite Holidays. I love gathering together as a family and sharing the undeniable feeling of pure grateful bliss. It's easy to get caught up with life, with what we don't have, with our never ending wish list, but it's important to remember the things we do have. We are blessed, and I don't ever want to be un-grateful for all the incredible blessing that we have been given. That's one of the reasons I decided to create my Thanksgiving burlap placemats. They're the perfect, gentle reminder for us to be grateful and to give thanks. It's so incredibly important. And even though Anthony and I will be traveling to spend Thanksgiving with his family, I ...
DIY Handmade Wood Chargers
Remember our Thanksgiving Table Setting? Well, one of my favorite things about it was our DIY Handmade Wood Chargers. Words can't describe how much I absolutely love them! They're different and simple and amazing and just enough... And might I mention that they're easy to make? We started with a 24" wide x 48" long piece of birch wood... Then I decided on the shape and size of the charger. I wanted to use as much of the board as possible, so I had Anthony cut it in half width wise and then in thirds length wide. We ended up with 8 12" x 12" chargers.... From there, I used one of my favorite cutting boards to use as a template on the corners... I simply made sure both ...

This month, we focused our attention on table settings! Here's what I came up with: I brought out my grandma's dinnerware.... and set it on top of our handmade wooden chargers, tutorial coming soon! And remember those denim leaves that I shared a while back? Well, I ...
