Our Christmas Traditions
Love making special memories through Christmas traditions? Us too! Below I'm sharing our Christmas traditions and how we celebrate the holidays! With Christmas being next week, I thought it would be fun to share our Christmas traditions we do every year throughout the holiday season. I know we all have those special family activities we do together, which makes the season feel so much more meaningful. Now that we have Ania, I know our Christmas traditions as a family will only grow, which brings so much excitement! Our Christmas Traditions Many of our traditions may seem "normal, or standard" to the Christmas season, but they're still cherished either way and they allow our families to ...

This is the first Christmas season with our sweet Ania and I felt a shift in myself as I started decorating. Marty from A Stroll Thru Life has organized this wonderful tour and I'm so thankful for the time she's taken to put everything together. If you're joining me from Sarah at Grace In My Space, welcome! There's something so magical about bringing out ornaments from years past and treasuring those memories all over again. The twinkle of the lights are always a welcome addition to our home and I'll forever love the warm glow the tree adds. This year, I went with a red, white and gold decorating theme, and I have to say, I'm absolutely loving it. Christmas Gift Ideas
A collection of affordable Christmas gift ideas perfect for the home lover in your life! Plus, see how to gift each item in a fun, unique way! I'm still working on decorating our home for Christmas. I squeeze in as much as I can in between nap times, which some days is trickier than others since little sweet pea doesn't want to nap and really only wants to play and hang out with momma. I'm not complaining though. She's good company and she likes to keep the conversation going with her excited shrieks and constant jabbering. She sure is fun! If you're like me though, you're starting your Christmas shopping and looking for gift ideas. I've had fun putting together a collection of gift ...
Red, White & Gold Christmas Decorating Plan
Looking for Christmas decorating inspiration? See our red, white & gold Christmas decorating plan and how I'll be incorporating it throughout our home. Believe it or not, this year I'm adding red into our Christmas decor! As a lover of neutral colors, I haven't had red in my decor in several years, but I woke up the other day and decided the house needed something fresh and new... and vibrant. Bring on the red! To go with it, I'll be adding in plenty of white and gold too, and I'm loving the color combo already! I think I'm most excited to decorate our flocked tree. And even though Ania won't remember her first Christmas at just five months old, there's something magical ...

Our Christmas Tree
I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving! We've been quite busy around here working on projects, and today I wanted to share our Christmas Tree with you! A few weeks ago, I shared a peek of our new flocked Christmas tree. It's such a pretty addition to our living room and I couldn't wait to come up with a design plan on how I wanted to decorate it. After debating on it for a little while, I decided to slightly alter my favorite tree from a few years ago. It was such a gorgeous tree and I couldn't wait to recreate it in a few ways. I also took some pictures walking you through how I decorated our Christmas tree. It's always fun to see how things come to life, and these ...
TGI-Friday: Our New Christmas Tree, Fun Holiday Baking Items, A Great Winter Coat, & More!
Yesterday I decided to put up our new Christmas tree! It arrived a few days before that, and I was torn on when I wanted to put it up since it's a little bit earlier than normal. Excitement to see what it looked like got the best of me and, well, it's now standing tall in our living room. It's such a beautiful tree, and the perfect size for our living room. I've been debating on how I want to decorate it, and I finally have a plan! The next few weeks will be busy getting the house ready for Christmas, and I'll be sharing the tour, and so many other ideas, starting the first week of December! Get ready, because there's so many good things coming! Other fun things: ...
The Best Flocked Christmas Trees
'Tis the season to start shopping for a new Christmas tree! Since my very tall, beautiful, tree won't fit in our home, I went on a big search to find the best flocked Christmas trees to replace the one I have. I loved my other tree... but with our home having 8' ceilings, there's no way we'd make it fit without it looking like a Clark Griswold tree shoved in the corner. That's not necessarily what I had in mind, so... let's talk flocked Christmas trees! First, let me just lay the ground work and let you know how picky I am about Christmas trees, especially flocked trees. They're not all created equal in the way the flocking is dispersed, and the type of flocking on the tree. I prefer ...
TGI-Friday: Decorating For Christmas & More
Happy Friday! These past few mornings we've woken up to snow on the ground, making things feel a lot more like Christmas, and less like fall. The cold has definitely arrived, and I've been enjoying watching the snow blow around and shine in the sunlight. I'm really excited about decorating for Christmas this year. Last year, we were living in our tiny rental while we were knee deep in demo'ing our Willow House. We did minimal decorating, but did manage to put up a little mini tree to celebrate. This year though, I'm looking forward to spreading the Christmas cheer all through the house like normal. I'll be doing a Christmas Home Tour around the first week of December, and because of ...
Christmas Home Night Tour
One of the best things about Christmas, is watching the glow of the lights in the evenings. There's nothing more soothing or captivating, and I love the way the happy glow makes the house feel. Today, I'm so excited to be joining several blogging friends to share my Christmas home night tour. Rachel from Maison de Pax coordinated the tour, and I'm so happy she included me... this is one of my favorite tours all year. It brings such a different perspective! If you're joining me from Chelsea at Two Twenty One, welcome! At night, the star is most definitely the tree. It brings the most beautiful glow to the entire house... And with all the lamps turned off, the tree ...
Christmas Home Tour
In the past, I've gone all out in the house decorating for Christmas. Every little space had something that indicated it was the Christmas season... and while there's absolutely nothing wrong with that, it all adds up to make me feel a little claustrophobic at the end of the day. It also makes me want to put it all away and start with a clean fresh slate right after Christmas. This year though, I toned things down and the house feels so much better... Instead of adding a bunch of Christmas specific decor items, I went with more of a simplified winter theme. And just like I skipped the real tree this year, I also skipped the real garland too. Last year I had such a huge mess to clean ...
TGI-Friday
It's officially ten days until Christmas... are you ready? I still have a little bit of shopping to do... and several presents to wrap, but one of the things I look forward to most, is spreading out all my wrapping supplies, filling the boxes full of gifts, and then turning on a Christmas movie while I wrap. It's one of my little traditions that I look forward to every year. Please note: Some of the links in this post are affiliate links, which allows me to make a small commission from your purchase, but your purchase price stays the same. Thank you for helping support my blog! Here's some fun things on this TGI-Friday! Speaking of Christmas movies... I've been ...
Flocked Christmas Tree
For the past few years, my go to Christmas tree has always been a real, live beautiful tree. But I won't kid you, they're not always the best... Last year the first tree we bought for the living room died within a few weeks, after I decorated it and only a week or so into December. I decided I didn't want to stare at a dead Christmas tree all month, so we bought another one and I redecorated it the same way. And then, there's obviously the clean up from the fresh trees. By the time they go out the door once Christmas is over, they're pretty much fried and those needles go everywhere. I decided to go with a fake one this year to save on my sanity, and bought a gorgeous flocked Christmas ...
DIY Framed Tree Print
Well, I think it's safe to say you all like the DIY framed tree print in the dining room as much as I do! I've been getting a bunch of questions on how I made it, where I got the print, what size it is, and more! It was incredibly easy, and the longest part of making this was waiting in the line at Office Depot while it printed... Please note: Some of the links in this post are affiliate links, which allows me to make a small commission from your purchase, but your purchase price stays the same. Thank you for helping support my blog! Here are the supplies I used to create the print: Digital Tree Print (Asked to be sized to 24" x 36") Printed Tree Print (24" x 36") I ...
TGI-Friday
Happy TGI-Friday! This week has been busy! Between all the Christmas posts here on the blog (are you all caught up?), I had a fun Christmas photo shoot Wednesday, and then I've been working on a big living room design for a client of mine! Needless to say, I'm ready for the weekend... and having a schedule free couple of days! I'll be sharing more Christmas decorating next week, but here's a peek from Wednesday's photo shoot. I call this, grab a cookie (or two) and run! Please note: Some of the links in this post are affiliate links, which allows me to make a small commission from your purchase, but your purchase price stays the same. Thank you for helping support my ...
Christmas In The Dining Room
This post is sponsored by Gordmans. Christmas in the dining room... does it get much better? I'm not sure. As far as decorating goes, this room is always fun to tackle... but it's also a little bit of a challenge. The wall to wall shelves make such a huge impact in the room, but they can also turn into a cluttered space really quick depending on how much I choose to display. There's definitely a happy medium there, and I'm happy to partner with Gordmans to bring you a fun new display! This year I shifted the entire Christmas decorating scheme in the house and went with a lot more whites, blacks and dark greens. It all feels so clean and cozy, especially in the dining room! You ...
Christmas Table Setting In The Dining Room
Raise your hand if you've ever felt overwhelmed or intimidated by setting a holiday table. If you're raising your hand, know that I've been right there with you. I can remember a time when it felt like a really hard task... but honestly, setting the table for a holiday really doesn't need to be all that stressful or hard... promise. All that matters at the end of the day, is that you're gathering together with family and friends to celebrate. And if we're really being honest, the only necessities are the plates and silverware... okay, and maybe a glass! But we also like things to be pretty too, right? Today, for my Christmas table setting in the dining room, I'm sharing such an easy ...
