Our front porch might be small, but it sure does look good dressed up for fall! See how to recreate the look below! It's time to share our fall front porch! We've been working so hard on our yard these past two years. Last year, we focused all of our energy on the front yard, and this year we spent our time on the back yard. And let me just tell you, it's miraculous having grass and a yard. It's basically night and day difference and it's literally given us a breathe of fresh air. This year, we had a large garden area which allowed us to grow our own pumpkins. There's nothing I love more than a porch filled with beautiful pumpkins... problem is, I don't want to pay for them since they ...
Fall
Our Fall Home Tour
Welcome to our fall home tour! It's hard to believe we've owned our home two years now, but we've accomplished so much! This house isn't even close to the same place we bought a few years ago and it's so fun to see the transformation and how far we've come... even if we aren't finished yet! That's just one of the many reasons I love sharing seasonal tours of our home. It's so much fun to look back and see how things change, and this fall it's especially special with the new addition of our sweet baby girl. While my decorating may be more simplified this year (most of my time is spent cuddling our sweet girl), I've loved adding those warm, cozy touches throughout the house. It just ...
How I Store Fall Decor
As we switch seasons and start decorating for Christmas, I thought it might be helpful to share how I store fall decor. Over the years, I've really narrowed down my fall decorations, but there's still items I like to keep and use. Admittedly, I like to use our everyday items, but just add in a few fall touches here and there, while also adding in real tree branches. But with that said, I do have some faux pumpkins, stems, a collection of leaves I love, and a few glass vases I store each year. While my storage method may not be ground breaking, it's working very well for us, and I know exactly where to find our decor items, and that they'll be in good shape from ...
Our Fall Front Window Box
Better late than never, right? Today I'm sharing our fall front window box, and honestly I was hoping to have this up on the blog a few weeks ago. Unfortunately, we got a below average cold spell right after I bought some plants and I just couldn't plant them only to have them die a night later. Then, because I waited, some the mums I bought started looking a little tired, and not the prettiest, so I switched gears and used some wicker, light up pumpkins as my focal point instead. I'm not sad about it, because they look amazing! When I was pulling out all of my summer plants, I decided to leave in the ivy. It's mainly dried at this point, but it still looks really pretty ...
My Favorite Ways To Nest During Fall
I'm such a big lover of fall. There's so many different reasons to love the season, but there's something about it that requires us to slow down. The madness of spring and summer fades away and it's now time to experience the cozy pleasures the fall season brings. Because of that, I thought I'd share my favorite ways to nest during fall. If I'm honest, I "nest" all year long. Constantly tweaking and changing our home to suit our needs, or to help things function better and run more smoothly. But fall brings another layer to my nesting desire. It turns into creating a "cozy nest", where we feel warm, relaxed and comforted. Affiliate links are provided below. Full ...
Our Fall Front Porch
What a happy day it is, when I get to share our fall front porch. I love decorating our porch. It's one of my favorite ways to give our home an instant boost in curb appeal and it always gets my creativity rolling. Since I've never decorated the front porch of our Willow House, I was even that much more excited. This is easily the smallest front porch I've ever decorated. There's not a ton of room to do extravagant things, so I leaned heavily on my simplistic side to welcome guests into our home. But as always, I included corn stalks. I always get them from our family farm, and this year my brother let me take some from one of his fields. I must say, I love the way the ...
A Simple Fall Table Setting
With entertaining season right around the corner, I wanted to share a simple fall table setting idea. And when I say simple, I mean simple. Today, I'm joining a wonderful group of bloggers to bring you a whole collection of table setting ideas. Alicia from Nick & Alicia invited me to join in, and I'm so happy to be bringing you an easy idea you can recreate in your own home. So many times, I know setting and decorating a table can be a little bit intimidating... but it doesn't have to be. And setting a beautiful table also doesn't mean it has to be anything extravagant or fancy. I kept it as simple as possible on my table, and I loved how easy it was to put together, and how lovely it ...

Fall Front Porch Decorating Ideas
It's that time of year again where we all start looking for new ways to decorate our home for fall. With that in mind, I thought I'd share some fall front porch decorating ideas! If you've followed me over the years, you know I love to switch out my porch decor and really embrace the fall season. There's something so welcoming and charming about a porch that's decorated for fall. It's the first way you really get to set the stage welcoming family and friends into your home. Over the years, I've done several different styles on my front porch, and as I've developed my own personal style, I've found I like to keep my porch on the simpler side, but that certainly doesn't mean simple is ...
Pumpkin Fall Front Porch
I think one of my favorite things about fall, is decorating the front porch. Not only does it make a lovely welcoming reception for guests, but it also gets to stay in place for a while! Plus, who doesn't love pumpkins? My fall front porch this year was entirely inspired by my pumpkin patch. Early this spring I decided to set aside room in my garden to grow my own pumpkins. I wanted to have plenty to decorate with for fall, but I also didn't want to spend hundreds of dollars purchasing them either. Those little seeds turned into something special and I loved seeing the pumpkins grow, and grow, and grow some more! Before I knew it, I had pumpkins everywhere! I'm not complaining ...
My Favorite Things- Fall Edition
It's been a little while since I've shared some of my favorite things, so today I'm bringing it back... fall edition! I've been gathering up a good list to share, and I'm hoping you're as excited about all these as I am! Please note: Some of the links in this post are affiliate links, which allows us to make a small commission from your purchase, but your purchase price stays the same. Thank you for helping support our blog! We greatly appreciate it! First up, let's talk about slippers. My favorite slippers. I bought these last year because I needed to replace the slippers I've had for a really long time (think middle school!). These were one of the best alternatives I could find ...
DIY Painted Pumpkins
It's officially pumpkin season, and I'm not sad about that! Whether they're on the shelves in the dining room, as the main centerpiece on the table, or stacked up on the front porch, I'm making plenty of room for them this year. I mean, I planted a bunch of them in my garden, so ready or not, pumpkins it is! And while fresh pumpkins are the real deal, beyond stunning and the perfect way to jazz up your home for fall, they're not the only pumpkin out there! Faux pumpkins come in many different shapes and styles, and several of them look just as fabulous as the real deal... but some of them... weeellll, they're not only fake, they're just not the best to look at. Nothing a little paint ...
Fall Home Tour- Part Two
Today I'm back to share part two of my fall home tour. In my last post, part one, I focused on our kitchen and breakfast nook, but today it's all about our living and dining room. This past spring, our living room underwent quite the transformation. It needed a little refresh, and I'm loving the direction it's going! I've always been a lover of neutral décor, which makes it easy to change up with the seasons. I also love fresh greenery, especially tree clippings. It always adds the best touch. I also really love how the new leather furniture ties in with the cabinets in the kitchen. The combination of white and dark really makes my heart happy, and it works so well with all ...
Pumpkin Fall Table
Last fall I decided I wanted to plant pumpkins. Lots and lots of pumpkins. I kept imagining a front porch full of them, so this spring I planted 4 different varieties. Fast forward a few months and I literally have pumpkins coming out of my ears. But, that's not really a problem, is it? Especially for a heart that loves fall. And another reason having baskets full of pumpkins isn't a problem? Fall tablescapes. That's right, today I'm bringing you another fall table idea, only this time, it's all about the pumpkins from my garden. I'm so happy Shannon from AKA Designs asked me to join in on her fall tablescapes tour. Let's get started, shall we? Since this fall table is all ...
Fall Table Setting
Fall is such a lovely time of the year. All the colors, the textures and the spectacular golden hour. It's all just so beautiful, and more than anything I wanted to capture that feeling, that magic, in my fall table setting this year. I am so happy and honored to be joining another amazing group of bloggers and to be sharing our fall table settings, all brought together by Alicia from A Burst of Beautiful. In keeping with my simple, nature loving heart, I wanted the focal of my table to focus on just that... the beauty of nature during fall! Combining it all together in a cornucopia seemed like the perfect way to bring it all together. I'll share how I created the fall ...
Fall Home Tour- Part One
Hello sweet friends! I know it's been a little while since I've posted here on the blog, and I apologize for that! Life has a way of passing by quite quickly! More on that later, but today, I'm excited to be here sharing part one of our fall home tour. I'm honored to be joining an amazing group of bloggers, all gathered together by Rachel from Maison de Pax. If you're visiting from Liz at Love Grows Wild, thank you so much for stopping by! Isn't her home amazing? Goodness! Because there are so many pictures, I decided to split my fall home tour into two parts! I have to admit, I thoroughly enjoyed decorating for fall this year. It took me a little bit to decide which direction I wanted ...
A Big Living Room Refresh
If there was one room in our home that just felt... bleh... it was our living room. It just didn't seem to be working for us, no matter what I tried, and there were so many different elements that needed addressed. We needed a big living room refresh to get the room back on track, and that's just what we did with the help of American Furniture Warehouse! First off, we only have one wall in the room that can have furniture up against it, and that's the wall with the T.V. Until we finish our basement, which won't be for a good while, the T.V. stays upstairs, making the rest of the living room a little tricky to layout. We also have a solid wall of doors/ windows, which we planned ...
Our Fall Table
With Thanksgiving right around the corner, I am so excited to be bringing you a fun entertaining post for today, our fall table! I've joined forces with several other blogging friends to share beautiful entertaining ideas to get your creativity going! A big thank you to Lory from Designthusiasm for coordinating and inviting me to be part of this awesome group! For the table decorations this year, I wanted the main focus to be on the beauty of the fall season. For me, that means bringing the outdoor elements inside, and in the form of tree branch clippings. If you've read the blog for any length of time, you know that's just about my favorite way to decorate. ...
Fall Living Room & Entry
I'm slow to the house decorating scene this year, but today's post is all about our fall living room and entry! I've really wanted to change things up in our home. We've had everything the same way for so long, it was starting to feel a little bit stale to me. I recently took a trip to Gordmans, and I was immediately filled with so much decorating energy! Their home décor selection is amazing, and the prices are just as fabulous! Win and double win! Needless to say, I couldn't wait to get everything home! I find it completely amazing how just a little bit of new décor and a fresh placement of existing items can entirely transform any space. Our living room and ...

They've all been completely different, and the thought process behind decorating them has been very different, as well as my approach to bring out their best qualities. For this front porch, I wanted to ...
3 Fall Front Porch’s: Three Ways- Day 2
Welcome to Day 2 of our Three Fall Front Porch's: Three Ways! I hope you're enjoying the series! You can see my front porch here, which kicked off the series earlier this week! Today, it's all about Day 2, which is the largest front porch of the three... it also happens to be Chelsea's home. You remember her house, right? If not, you can see her dining room here, her kitchen here, and her living room here. When planning for the series, I knew I wanted to bring you a variety of sizes and shapes for the three different front porch's. We all have different floorplans, and I hope Chelsea's porch inspires you to start decorating! Since this is the first fall Chelsea and her ...
