2020 Fall Front Porch

Our front porch might be small, but it sure does look good dressed up for fall! See how to recreate the look below!

It’s time to share our fall front porch! We’ve been working so hard on our yard these past two years. Last year, we focused all of our energy on the front yard, and this year we spent our time on the back yard. And let me just tell you, it’s miraculous having grass and a yard. It’s basically night and day difference and it’s literally given us a breathe of fresh air.

This year, we had a large garden area which allowed us to grow our own pumpkins. There’s nothing I love more than a porch filled with beautiful pumpkins… problem is, I don’t want to pay for them since they don’t last very long. Growing them ourselves solves the problem and I probably get way too excited when it’s time to finally pull them from the vine.

White Pumpkins & Cornstalks

This year, I mainly planted white pumpkins and I love them. They’re such a fresh, subtle way to decorate for fall without having the vibrancy of orange. Plus, they look amazing with our black door and painted brick exterior

Our porch isn’t very big either, but there’s just enough room for two bundles of cornstalks. I honestly can’t imagine my front porch without them. For me, they set the tone for the season and I love the beautiful texture they add. Needless to say, our fall porch doesn’t feel the same without them.

A beautiful fall wreath

Several years ago, I made this beautiful fall wreath, and every year when I pull it out of storage, I remember all over again how pretty it is. It’s so full and big and it really makes the front door pop in the best way…

This is the first year of us living here that it really, truly feels like a completed house when you walk up to the front door. Most of the front landscaping is done and it just feels so welcoming…

This weekend I’m hoping to change out our front window box display. Last year I kept it simple with wicker pumpkins, but this year I have an idea to use cornstalks. We’ll see how it turns out!
