2014 Fall Home Tour: Part Two
Fall is definitely in the air around here. The leaves are turning, the evenings are brisk and our home totally feels warm and cozy. …Sigh… I love this season!
I’m back today to share part two of our fall home tour (you can see part one here)!
I’m so happy to be joining a new group of ladies for more fall home tours! Get ready for some inspiration, because these ladies will be sharing their homes all week! 😀
To start the tours, be sure to visit At Home with The Barkers and Daisy Mae Belle, who organized and kicked off the tour! Their homes are beyond lovely! 😀
In part one of the tour, I left off with our dining room. As you may know, we recently made a few changes to the room. Our new built in shelves (and light fixture) have completely transformed our home. Because we have such an open floor plan, you can see the shelves from practically any room in the house. They’ve became an instant focal point….
And I had so much fun decorating those shelves…
I love natural aspects of the season, so I brought in acorn squash and mixed it in with my pine cones and wicker pumpkins…
I love the different textures!
I also brought in leaves, white candles and pecans! I love pecans, they are completely “fall” in my book!
A few other small touches…
I also love apples! They’re all over our home right now… Anthony keeps bringing home crates full of them from a local orchard. They like to keep us stocked up with different fruit! 😀
And even though my DIY apple wreath is made from fake apples, it still fits in perfectly… it’s a stunner!
Our stackable crates work beautifully…
I kept our kitchen shelves simple, but added a few fall branches to brighten them up…
And with the additional of our new breakfast nook hutch, I decided to move the old breakfast nook dresser just around the corner….
Since I added the new shelf to our kitchen, I decided to move the fabric wrapped wire frame to the dresser and it was love at first site…
And here’s a different peek at the house, showing our living room…
And now, here’s everyone else that’s sharing their home tour today…

And then the rest of the week…

That is such an amazing list of bloggers… I can’t wait to see inside their homes!
And… I’ll be back on Friday to share my third and final part of our home tour! I can’t wait to share bits of our front porch, our entry way, mudroom and living room!
Here’s to more fall decorating…. 😀
I am so happy you joined us for the fall tour Shayna! Your home is so beautiful. I LOVE the new shelves. I was just telling my husband I’d like something like that in our kitchen…now I have a picture to show him. Love all the different fall textures you added! ~Sonya

Your home is quite the stunner!! I’m just in love with it all! Fun touring with you! ~Christy
I need that apple wreath! Love your home 🙂
Love, love, love your home! Your Fall decor is gorgeous! I’m pinning!
Hi there! Love “walking” through your home:) I was wondering if you could share where you got the twig pumpkins? I’ve been looking for them and have not found them under a million dollars…ok so I am exaggerating a bit:) Thanks for sharing!
THANK YOU so much, Lisa! I’m so happy you enjoyed the tour! For the twig pumpkins, I found the larger ones at Target in their dollar section (I know, right!!), and the smaller pumpkins are actually picks from Hobby Lobby! 😀
I hope that helps! 😀
Your home is so cozy and warm, one of my most favorite home tours so far!!! I love the new dining room shelves and the little shelf with hooks underneath!! Did you make that shelf and where did you find those adorable hooks??
THANK YOU so very much, Lisa! I’m so happy you enjoyed the tour! 😀
For the shelf, we’ve had it for several years. I don’t remember where I bought it. But, the hooks underneath the shelf are from IKEA! I love them too! 😀
I love your style Shayna! I’ts fresh and stylish and relaxed! LOVE that combo… especially with all your fall touches. Putting that beautiful apple wreath on my must-try list!!!
Shayna, I love all your Fall decor…..but I’m coveting all the wire baskets!
Absolutely beautiful!!! I love your home!!!
Do you mind me asking, where did you find your wire baskets that you have on your shelving?
THANK YOU so much, Jenny! I found the wire baskets from several different places: estate sales, my great grandparents farm, etc. They are actually metal milk crates. I hope that helps! 😀
I always look forward to see what you are going to decorate next. I love your style.
May I ask where you got your Antler wall mount?
THANK YOU so much Carol! The elk mount is actually Anthony’s. He’s a big hunter, so this is his Elk mount.
I love the Apple Cider Chalkboard art. Can you share any info on how you did that? Not making the chalkboard, but how you got the Apple Cider recipe on it. Thanks so much. You are, as always, soooo inspiring!
Your home is so cozy, inviting and filled with fall gorgeousness Shayna! I love every single detail especially your stunning dining room! Great job in decorating it! I have that same plaid throw too – luv to cuddle up with it by our firepit at night! Pinning and sharing on my facebook page – xo Heather
WOW! Love. Your. Home. Enough said… xo M
So pretty! I love the “spread some happy” utensil…it is so cute and made me smile.
I seriously love these shelves!! My dining room could totally benefit from the same type of design! I love the way the bottom two are deeper. You could totally still serve buffet style meals on there. Love. Love. Love.
Your home is gorgeous!!
Thanks for sharing. I enjoy all the ideas and inspiration! My honey do list keeps growing and growing every time I visit your site.
i love your home
I’d love to know the color (light gray?) on your kitchen walls. Thanks!
THANK YOU so much! The color is Edgecomb Gray by Benjamin Moore. 😀
