Who else has been so excited, and ever so patiently waiting, for Spring to arrive? Maybe it's because I spent so much of the winter months sick and isolated to the couch, but I've been so ready for the warmer weather, the green grass, birds chirping and the coming days of planting flowers! I also love sharing our spring home tour. It's refreshing to air out the house, give everything a good cleaning and add in fresh elements that really make the house feel ready for the spring season. Today for our spring home tour, I'm joining Marty from A Stroll Thru Life and the beautiful tour she's created. She planned a whole week of amazing spring home tours. You can tour them all below, but ...

Spring Home Tour : Part Two
I've been so excited for Spring this year. Yesterday, my mom and I visited our local nursery and I bought bunches of new perennials, strawberry plants and a couple of trees. One thing about building a new home is, the landscaping takes years to build up. Literally. This year will be our fourth summer in the house, and we have barely touched our landscaping. Every year I try to add to it, and this year I've made the decision to add more plants and trees, which means we need a bit more dirt, because digging in rock isn't my idea of a good time. I can't wait to get it all up and going. And because of that, you will definitely be seeing more outdoor DIY projects. I already have two new ...
Spring Home Tour: Part One
Spring is definitely in the air in Colorado! We've been busy in the tractors prepping the fields for spring planting, and I've been spending time freshening up the yard and getting ready for my own planting! I thoroughly enjoy gardening, and I'm so excited to add more plants to our landscaping this year. It's definitely on the list of must-do things! :) And because I've been anxiously excited for spring, I couldn't help but get the house ready too. I'm just hoping the wind doesn't strike full force this year. As much as I love spring, it seems the wind likes to spread it's love and I'm always caught off guard and end up chasing patio furniture across our fields. Fun times... fun ...
Spring Mantel Decorating
Spring is definitely in the air and things are in full bloom around here! My tulips have popped up, and the daffodils are bursting with color! And the birds, let's not forget their cheerful chirping. I've really missed them! Since things are really feeling like Spring outside, I thought the inside should too. And there's no better place to start decorating, than our dining room shelves. They're still one of my very favorite DIY builds, and I love to change them up for the seasons. Every spring, I love to pull out my bright green apple wreath. I've had it for years, but it's so refreshing to see cheerful pops of color, and this year is no different! ...
Spring Decorating
It's certainly felt like spring here. Tractor work is in full swing and the farm ground is dramatically changing all around us. It's such a refreshing site. To make the inside of our home feel as fresh and spring-y as the outside, I decided to do a bit of spring decorating. If you've been following me for a while, you know that I love to bring the outdoors in as much as possible. Luckily, we have a lovely Willow tree that has the prettiest branches with just the right amount of green... They were just begging to come inside, so I snipped off a few smaller stems and set them in a bit of water... Just lovely! I also brought out my green apple wreath, which is a spring time ...
Living Room Reading Corner
I've always wanted a cozy spot to read. To me, that could be one of the simplest things in life. But also one of the best. I love to escape in a good book, and sometimes that's the only way I can rejuvenate myself after a long day or week. That's why I'm so excited to share our living room reading corner. It's still a work in progress, but the simplicity of it all is making my heart really happy. It's a perfect place to curl up and read, or relax and watch the sunrise. And no, I still haven't put away my joy pillow, I just really love it. It's got such a powerful message, plus it's quite wonderful to look at. The dried lavender also makes this spot one of the most ...
Spring Mantel
I don't know about you, but I am SO ready for spring. I've been spending any free time in the flower beds, raking the lawn, and trying to freshen everything up. I love this time of year! Anthony is a busy bee too. Farming is officially underway and him getting home at 10:30 p.m. (or later) is our new normal. Quick, call 911- The tractor stole my husband! :) Spring is in the air! With that said, our mantel (aka kitchen shelves) was needing a little spring love too. No more winter shelves! I couldn't take them for another minute! I was craving wicker. Obviously. And the thrift store helped me out! Green apples are practically perfect for the color starved ...
