2020 Christmas Home Tour

Welcome to our Christmas home tour! Take the tour below and see how we decorated our home for the holiday season.

I’ve been so excited to share our Christmas home tour. This is the first Christmas season with our sweet Ania and I felt a shift in myself as I started decorating. It’s no longer just for Todd and I, but now there’s a precious little girl we get to introduce to the blessing of Christmas.

Marty from A Stroll Thru Life has organized this wonderful tour and I’m so thankful for the time she’s taken to put everything together. If you’re joining me from Sarah at Grace In My Space, welcome! I’ve recently found Sarah and she has such a beautiful home! She’s been sharing peeks inside her Christmas home and it’s truly lovely.

Several weeks ago, I shared my red, white and gold decorating plan for Christmas this year. Typically, I always stay with a more neutral color scheme, but this year, I decided to add the beautiful, festive touch of red! And honestly, we’ve been loving it. The house feels vibrant and cheerful.

Our Christmas Entry

When you first walk in the door, I added a big, festive wreath on top of our normal artwork…

The jingle bells and satin ribbon bow just add to the charm…

I also love the big gold bell on the entry table. I found it several years ago at an antique mall and it was such a great find!

I also added in this cute little mini tree…

Our Christmas Living Room

The star of our home, is most definitely our Christmas tree. That’s typically where I always start when putting together a decorating plan, and then I branch out from there…

I shared all about our Christmas tree here if you’d like to see more…

This corner of our living room is always my favorite, and this year, it’s even more loved since we have the addition of Ania’s stocking hanging with ours!

I love our stockings! They’re huge and so beautiful. I splurged on them at Crate & Barrel, but the quality and size makes them worth it. I can’t find them listed on their website any longer, but Todd and I bought ours a few years ago and then Ania’s earlier this year…

I added the simple satin ribbon bow and it really sets them off…

Since we don’t have a mantel, or at least one that’s ready to decorate, I use our living room shelves to hang our stockings. I enjoy decorating those too! This year, I brought in little additions of red with the ornaments, and books…

I also added in lots of cozy layers with these cable knit pillow covers and a few blankets…

Layering all the different textures together is one of my favorite ways to make the house feel cozy and warm for the holiday season…

Our Christmas Kitchen

I kept the decor in our kitchen pretty minimal. The weekend before I was set to take pictures, we started building our vent hood! Needless to say, our kitchen was basically a construction zone with dust and insulation going everywhere. Even with that though, I couldn’t help but add a few fun touches here and there…

I still love our shelves and how our white dishes look. I added some faux greenery and red berry stems to the top shelf…

You can see more about our kitchen shelves here, and our laminate counter top and backsplash here….

I hung my favorite brass leaf mistletoe in our kitchen window…

I also love this cute little area of our kitchen too! My aprons finally have a home…

I thought about adding garland to our unfinished vent hood, but decided to let it shine on its own, haha!

That’s how it goes when your always remodeling!

Christmas In The Dining Room

Our dining area also got a few touches of Christmas too! This area is still a work in progress, but it feels so cheerful right now…
