Back To Blogging!

It’s been no secret that I’ve had a hard time keeping the blog updated and current with all of our house projects these last few months. It feels like I blinked, and the last blog post I published is now over two months old! That honestly wasn’t my intention, and I’ve been trying to make my way back to blogging. Remodeling the house has come to a pretty slow roll as we’ve both been overwhelmed with a very busy and demanding work schedule.

When I moved out of my home last year, the blog was forced to take a back seat, and I started a full time job that left little to no time for writing new blog posts. Like anything, blogging takes time, energy and creativity. All of those things were available on a limited basis as we dove head first into getting the house live-able and ready for move in, on top of working very detailed and demanding jobs.

But… I’m so happy to say, that as of July, I’ll be back to blogging full time again! What does this mean for you? Well, for one, regular blog posts! I’ve received so many e-mails from you asking for more… More blog posts, more details on the house, more projects and more updates! I’m so happy to say, that I’ll finally have time to sit down and write those posts, as well as sharing new projects, ideas and stories! Good things are coming!

Over the last year, I’ve thought long and hard about the blog… about where I want it to go and how I want to better serve this amazing community that’s been gathering around and keeping me in their thoughts and prayers. I’ve had the opportunity to dream, to plan and to create new ideas for The Wood Grain Cottage and what it could be moving forward. There are so many fun things in the works… new passion projects to share and loads of house updates that are really transforming this neglected house into our home. Every day I get a little bit more excited!

Introducing The Willow House by The Wood Grain Cottage

I won’t be spilling any of the big details quite yet, but just know that if you’ve been hoping for more, the time has come! In the coming months, I’ll be introducing a big blog refresh and a new website that will be more personal, organized and user friendly… at least that’s my goal! I’ve been working hard behind the scenes, and I’m so excited to share it with you!

Really though, I just want to thank you for your patience and love. The e-mails I’ve received have been so encouraging as I’ve been trying to get back to the platform and community I love. With everything that’s happened over the last couple of years, it’s so refreshing and exciting to see that God has led me back to my favorite place in the world… home.
