2017 Fall Home Tour- Part One
Hello sweet friends! I know it’s been a little while since I’ve posted here on the blog, and I apologize for that! Life has a way of passing by quite quickly! More on that later, but today, I’m excited to be here sharing part one of our fall home tour. I’m honored to be joining an amazing group of bloggers, all gathered together by Rachel from Maison de Pax.
If you’re visiting from Liz at Love Grows Wild, thank you so much for stopping by! Isn’t her home amazing? Goodness!
Because there are so many pictures, I decided to split my fall home tour into two parts! I have to admit, I thoroughly enjoyed decorating for fall this year. It took me a little bit to decide which direction I wanted to go, but just like always, the natural beauty of the outdoors won over my heart! I’ve also woven in a few helpful tips and tricks to creating that easy, cohesive vibe, so let’s take a peek, shall we?
The kitchen is easily where I spend most of my time. I love cooking baking and canning, and it seems these last few weeks I’ve spent plenty of time in here preserving everything from peach jam, peaches, pickles and green beans. I still have more to do, but I’ve enjoyed a small break!
To add fall into the kitchen and breakfast nook, I clipped a few branches from an Elm Tree. I know… an Elm Tree, right? But clipped branches are stunning no matter where they come from… bring those outdoor elements inside for an instant spark of life!
I also like to keep my color pattern consistent, which makes it easy to transition from room to room. It all flows so seamlessly together.
I honestly think this one of my favorite views in the house, which is why there’s so many pictures. I wish I could take a photo that does it justice, but these don’t even come close to how amazing the breakfast nook really is… or the view out that big window.
These shelves always make a great place to bring in seasonal decor. A few tree branches, wicker pumpkins and copper accents really make it feel like fall. I also like to mix and match different metal combinations… just be sure to keep a common thread among-st it all..
I love that the shelves make it easy to grab some of my favorite serving dishes. Doesn’t hurt that they look good too, right?

And, now for our breakfast nook! This little room is such a pretty space. Adding the new light, table and chairs really made such a huge impact, and it’s all feeling so right to me…
A simple jug of tree clippings and a bowl of apples is really all this room needs to feel like fall…
Apples are another great way to bring in that easy fall vibe! They not only look great in a simple bowl, but it makes an easy snack too!
But… I couldn’t just stop there. Since adding the darker low back chairs to the table, I really wanted to add in some darker pillows to the breakfast nook bench as well. I love the dark green velvet mixed with the black and white. It’s fresh, but warm and completely fall. (They were also crazy inexpensive!!)
