3 Fall Front Porch’s: Three Ways- Day 2
Welcome to Day 2 of our Three Fall Front Porch’s: Three Ways! I hope you’re enjoying the series! You can see my front porch here, which kicked off the series earlier this week!
Today, it’s all about Day 2, which is the largest front porch of the three… it also happens to be Chelsea’s home. You remember her house, right? If not, you can see her dining room here, her kitchen here, and her living room here.
When planning for the series, I knew I wanted to bring you a variety of sizes and shapes for the three different front porch’s. We all have different floorplans, and I hope Chelsea’s porch inspires you to start decorating!
Since this is the first fall Chelsea and her family have lived in their newly built home, I knew I wanted to make their front porch extra special and appealing! Chelsea and I brainstormed a few different ideas, and here’s what we came up with…
Chelsea had mentioned how much she loved my huge welcome sign I built for our front porch a few years back, so I helped her make her own, which is a main focal point for the porch…
There’s just something about that welcome sign. It instantly transforms any porch, making you feel extremely welcomed!
Chelsea made her front door wreath last year when we got together for a wreath making party, and the bright orange leaves she chose compliment the pumpkins perfectly!
And for all the beautiful fall foliage for her porch, I used an array of tree clippings (Aspen branches & this beautiful orange bush)! Trees are bursting with gorgeous fall color right now, so I took a little trip to the mountain and snipped off a few colorful branches.
This beauty looks like it’s own plant, but it’s actually just branches I stuffed into the pot…
And because it is fall, and corn stalks are a staple on any front porch I decorate, I mixed the aspen clippings in with the corn stalks to create an awesome bundle that’s entirely full of texture…
The combination of the corn stalks, ears of corn and aspen leaves is one of my favorites to date. It’s utterly gorgeous, and such an easy way to quickly incorporate fall on your porch…
And because Chelsea’s porch is so big, we were able to create this cozy seating area…
We used cozy blankets, warm pillows and plenty of pumpkins, lanterns and fall foliage…
It truly is a beautiful place to sit…
And just in case you were wondering, here’s what we started with before we began decorating…
It was beautiful before, but it’s amazing what a little décor can add to a home! 🙂
I hope you’ve enjoyed Day 2, and that you’ve maybe even gathered a little inspiration for your own home! On Friday I’ll be sharing our third and final front porch, which is the smallest of the series! Stay tuned!
Amazing Porch, Love your neutral colors!!! PINNED
I love how this porch turned out. Of course, I like the welcome sign, but I also like the use of natural “clippings”. I don’t know why I don’t think to use tree branches. They’re free and look great.
These are fun!!! Very welcoming ?
I’m enjoying this little series
Lovely work, I especially like the WELCOME sign. What size are the letters ?
Thank you so much! The welcome sign letters are from Hobby Lobby. You can find them here: http://www.hobbylobby.com/Crafts-Hobbies/Wood-Crafting/Unfinished-Wood/9-1/2%22-Wood-Letter—A/p/23552
What size board is that and where did u get it?
Unfortunately, I don’t remember the specific size of this board, but I know we pulled it from an old barn. You can see the full tutorial (with all of the dimensions) on how to make one here: https://www.thewoodgraincottage.com/huge-front-porch-welcome-sign/
