Fall Porch Decorating Ideas
If you’re looking to spruce up your front porch for Fall, here are some decorating ideas to get your creativity going. There’s no better way to make your home feel welcome, than by decorating your front porch. Big or small porch, these simple ideas will work in any size space. They are all very easy to make too!
I know, I know. We’re not even to the end of August yet and I’m already sharing fall porch decorating ideas. I just can’t help it. The mornings here are cool, and the days are still warm, but that familiar feeling of fall is in the air.
This year, I wanted to give you more time to plan on, or make your own fall project, so I thought I would start a little earlier. And even though several things on our front porch have changed (front door paint color, light, etc.), I still love all of these ideas. I hope you enjoy!
First, let’s start with our huge front porch welcome sign. It’s not only easy to make, but it’s completely customizable. You can use different wood, different letters, different colors, etc. Make it your own.
I love the combination of the weathered wood with the crisp gray letters. It’s beyond lovely…
You can find the full tutorial for the welcome sign here.
To add even more character, use sticks to create words or sayings. It’s easy to do, and the full tutorial can be found here. I think “Happy Fall” would be very cute temporarily glued to a mail box.
Or take those stick letters one step further by creating a banner to hang over your door…
Not only is it a cheap project, but it’s also a great way to add texture and interest to your porch. The full tutorial can be found here.
Next, is my concrete pumpkins. They take a bit of drying time to make, but once they’re done, they are very cute additions to the front porch…
You can even customize them to be a solid pumpkin, or a planter…
If you want to make your own, here’s the full tutorial.
This cute sign pole is also a great way to add cheer for the fall season, just customize the words…
Here’s the full tutorial.
And, if you’re looking to add those “little” details, take a tour of our fall front porch…
I used several natural, and free elements that brought in the perfect warmth of the season. Even though I’ve repainted our front door, and changed out our light fixture, this setting of the front porch is still one of my absolute favorites. Just looking through the pictures, I am excited to do some sprucing of my own!
Fall is starting to show…. Hopefully these easy ideas will make you excited to start decorating!
I love your porch, but the mice would have a great time if I put out corn or seeds, so I would just stick to things that hang out of reach…
I absolutely love your front porch ideas!
I cannot wait for Sept.1 to get busy decorating~
Hurry Fall! I’m ready for the change of seasons and to decorate for it! Love your ideas!
Gorgeous ideas! the pumpkin 🙂
I love your huge welcome sign for the front porch. I would like to make one. You mentioned your letters are from Hobby Lobby. Are they wooden or metal? And could you tell me how big they are? Thank you so much.
Thank you so much, Robin! Yes, they are from Hobby Lobby. They’re made from wood and are about 12″. I hope that helps! 🙂
Love all the decor!!! Could you tell me the color of the door?! Love that color!! Thanks
Thank you so very much! The door color is Palladian Blue by Benjamin Moore. 🙂
Hi Shayna
Absolutely love your beautiful, natural, home sweet home ideas.
Thank you so for sharing your wonderful inspirations.
And debbi – this is why we have our furry friends – CATS.
Give two cats a lovely home and clever mice will stay away.
