2017 Fall Home Tour- Part Two
Today I’m back to share part two of my fall home tour. In my last post, part one, I focused on our kitchen and breakfast nook, but today it’s all about our living and dining room.
This past spring, our living room underwent quite the transformation. It needed a little refresh, and I’m loving the direction it’s going! I’ve always been a lover of neutral décor, which makes it easy to change up with the seasons. I also love fresh greenery, especially tree clippings. It always adds the best touch.
I also really love how the new leather furniture ties in with the cabinets in the kitchen. The combination of white and dark really makes my heart happy, and it works so well with all the natural light that floods in from the windows.
It’s also wonderful having a different floor plan in the living room with the new couch. Everything flows so much better…
As for the shelves, I added simple touches of fall. Candles are always a good choice, and paired with tree clippings, lanterns, glass pumpkins and dried leaves, it all feels so right…

The dining room looks a little bit different too since I painted the wall behind the shelves a dark color (vintage frame by valspar). It’s honestly been one of the best decisions I’ve made. I love the depth it adds, the way it makes everything look and how it balances out the rest of the house…
I took a bunch of things off the shelves too, and I’m loving the simple look they have right now…
The white pumpkins against the dark wall pop in the best way…

I have a few fun DIY projects to share as well… and then the front porch! I grew a bunch of pumpkins in my garden this year, so it’s basically pumpkin heaven on the porch… and on the breakfast nook table! More to come soon! 🙂
I love a little drama and the new dark wall color is perfection!
It does balance everything… I love it. The whole house looks Fall’tastic.

It is always fun to see how you decorate. Your style is uniquely you. Not a carbon copy of everyone else! I like how you have a division of rooms in an open floor plan. I agree how you said your dark wall in the dining room wall ties in your kitchen cabinets. It is the wow feature as soon as you walk in. Nicely done entry to kitchen.
Love all of this! The dark colors are wonderful!
