House Paint Colors

One of the most frequent questions I receive, is what our house paint colors are… and I totally get it. Paint colors can be really hard to choose. I mean, there are about a million of them to choose between. Below, I have broken down exactly what colors we have, and what room they’re in.

Take it from someone who has basically painted every single room in the house at least twice… yes, twice. I kind of want to bang my head against the wall just thinking about all the times I have repainted the interior of the house. I’ve done it so much, I could probably make a career of it… kidding of course, but you know what I mean.

And not only have I repainted the house a bunch, I’ve navigated through my fair share of paint colors. Let’s just say, I know what I like… from trial and error.

Let’s go room by room, starting at the front door of the house. When we originally built the house, I painted our front door Wythe Blue by Benjamin Moore. I get asked a lot about this color…

We kept it like that for a while… or until I decided blue wasn’t really my color. Then, I went with a nice neutral, Hazy Skies by Benjamin Moore. I love this color, and our door is still sportin’ this gray/green/tan mix. Beautiful!

Once you walk in the front door, you’re met with our entryway. This room started out with our base wall color, Edgecomb Gray by Benjamin Moore, but once we installed the plank walls, I painted the boards Super White by Benjamin Moore…

The Super White also carries into our living room…

The black doors in our living room, and the interior side of our front door, are Onyx by Benjamin Moore.

To the right of the entry, is our dining room. It started out as Tranquility by Benjamin Moore, but is now painted Halo by Benjamin Moore…

The kitchen, is still painted Edgecombe Gray by Benjamin Moore…

The kitchen leads into our breakfast nook, which is partially Edgecomb Gray (The wall that connects to the kitchen), and the plank walls are painted White Dove by Benjamin Moore…

The laundry room and half bathroom feature the same colors. The laundry room has Super White by Benjamin Moore on the plank wall, and built in behind the washer and dryer, while the other walls are Halo by Benjamin Moore…

The half bathroom is painted in the exact same colors…

Our bedroom is next on the list to be repainted, but it’s currently Hazy Skies by Benjamin Moore…

And, our master bathroom is currently being repainted since our tile fiasco. Right now, it’s Palladian Blue… (Excuse the dirty pictures, these were right after the demo and new tile installation.)

The last room in the house that I’ve shared on the blog, is my office. It’s also been repainted from Palladian Blue, and is currently Halo by Benjamin Moore, except for the plank wall, which is Super White by Benjamin Moore…

The ceilings in the house are painted White by Benjamin Moore in flat. The trim color throughout the house is Super White by Benjamin Moore, in a semi gloss, and the sheen of all our walls is satin, except for the plank walls, which I’ve painted in both satin and semi-gloss, depending what I had on hand at the time.

I do want to mention that I have all of my paints mixed at my local Ace Hardware in the Ace Royal brand paint, which I really like! It also saves money! 🙂

I hope this helps answer any questions!

  1. So pretty. So clean looking with all the whites and grays! But what color are your kitchen cabinets?
Oh and I have a question regarding one of my decorating dilemmas. My rooms are also fairly open to each other and all the wood trim is in a medium oak. When I get started on painting and whatever style of wood I add to the walls (I’m still undecided on that) what do I do about the trim? I don’t necessarily want to change ALL of it in the house, at least not right away, but I’m fairly certain it won’t be that attractive in the current oak color. Any help you can give me would be greatly appreciated! Thank you

  2. I LOVE your home. So well done! Im dying to know sources for your bedding and the striped towel that I caught a glimpse of in your guest bathroom. It looked like a turkish towel perhaps? Absolutely love your style. Congrats on your shop by the way 🙂
