DIY Tree Limb Tea Light Holder
Easy projects are one of my very favorite things. Don’t get me wrong, I love the big projects that take blood, sweat and tears, they’re rewarding too, but there’s something very satisfying about being able to make something really beautiful in no time at all. It’s rewarding, motivating and down right energizing.
Especially when the end result is this pretty…
When Anthony and I made our DIY log tea light candle holder, I also decided to make a few of these tree limb tea light holders. They’re so easy to make, especially if you have fallen tree branches!
We started with your basic aspen limbs. We cut each of them to size, making them 4″, 6″ and 8″ tall…
Then, Anthony found the center of each limb…
And used our drill press with a 1 1/2 drill bit to cut out the center… (If you don’t have a drill press, this could easily be done with just a regular drill!)
I used a standard tea light…
And we continued drilling until the candle sat flush in the hole…
We did the same thing to each and every one of them…
And then, they were ready to use!
I love them! They add that perfect touch of nature (one of my very favorite things about Fall), and they’re completely functional…
You may have noticed them in our fall home tour too…
I’m really looking forward to decorating with them for Christmas as well… Yes, I did just mention Christmas. It’s the most wonderful time of year, and my wheels are spinning! 😀
(NOTE: You are welcome to use flame-less tea lights instead of the regular candles, you’ll just need to adjust your drill size if there’s any size difference. Also, I am not encouraging you to burn candles next to leaves. I just happen to think leaves are mighty pretty! )
Beautiful! Thank you for sharing!
Love all the texture these have! Love decorating with natural elements!~Michelle

I know you secretly want me to burn my house down.
Just admit it!
Bwah hahahahaha. Love ya 😉
Prefect timing! I was at my parents last weekend and snagged a few of these logs. I’ve been wanting to make these for a long time and I’m going to attempt it this weekend. Thanks for sharing.
pinning! Love this idea!
I’m pinning this, too. I’ve seen them around and thought they were really cute. Thanks for telling us how to do even the simple things. 🙂
Treat or heat the branches to avoid bringing wood eating creatures into your wood framed home.
