Our New Living Room Rug

Today I’m sharing all about our new living room rug and how much we are enjoying this fun living room change!

A few weeks ago I shared that we were getting a new rug in our living room. After several years of having a jute rug in our living room spaces (I think I bought it in 2012!), I decided it was time for a change and to bring in a new addition to our living room.

I went back and forth on which rug I wanted, and shared my favorite options here, and in the end I decided on this rug. I couldn’t wait to unroll it, hoping and praying it was close in color to what the pictures looked like online…

I’m happy to report, the new rug is beautiful and the colors are very accurate to what’s shown online. It maybe lends a little bit more green than some of the pictures show, but it’s such a beautiful rug nonetheless…

From the second we’ve unrolled it, our living room has been so much more fun to play in. Ania and I spread her toys out and she has so much fun crawling around and laying on the new rug. The jute rug wasn’t the most comfortable to lounge on, and I didn’t love how much the fibers shed…

Admittedly, it took us a few days to get used to the new look of our living room. The new rug drastically changed the overall look of the room and how the furniture looked…

I love the pattern of the rug and that there’s variation in colors. It has great depth! There’s dark green, dark brown, cream and light blue and it all combines to create a classic, beautiful rug! It’s made to look vintage, and while it’s essentially a print, it’s wonderful quality. The “worn” areas of the rug add such a great touch…

Because we play in here a lot, I’ve already had to wipe up a few spills and it’s cleaned up like a dream! I’ve also noticed that it hides dirt and crumbs quite well.

Overall, I highly recommend it if you’re in the market for a new rug! We have the 7’6″x 9′ 6″ size and while it could have been a little bit longer overall, the width is perfect for our living room and we were actually able to pull the furniture out a little bit more giving us more space…

And because she’s just so cute, and really happy about her new jelly sandals, here’s one more picture that perfectly captures her personality! She’s happy, happy, happy…
