2020 Fall Home Tour

Welcome to our fall home tour! It’s hard to believe we’ve owned our home two years now, but we’ve accomplished so much! This house isn’t even close to the same place we bought a few years ago and it’s so fun to see the transformation and how far we’ve come… even if we aren’t finished yet!

That’s just one of the many reasons I love sharing seasonal tours of our home. It’s so much fun to look back and see how things change, and this fall it’s especially special with the new addition of our sweet baby girl. While my decorating may be more simplified this year (most of my time is spent cuddling our sweet girl), I’ve loved adding those warm, cozy touches throughout the house. It just makes home feel a little more welcoming.

To add into the fall fun, I’m joining a group of bloggers and we’re opening up our homes for you to tour! A big thank you to Marty from A Stroll Thru Life for organizing this wonderful tour, and to Linda at It All Started With Paint for keeping it going while Marty recovers from a hard summer

If you’re joining me from Deb at Seeking Lavender Lane, welcome! Deb has such a wonderful style and everything she touches turns to gold! Her fall home tour is no different!

As summer has started to turn into fall, I’ve found myself settling into a cozy nesting mode. I’ve been moving things around the house, buying a few new decor items and really leaning into the time I have at home. And of course, I’ve been busy canning too, which makes for some long days as we preserve all the veggies we’ve grown in the garden, and fresh fruits from our area. (Side note, this is the first year we’ve done plum jam and it’s dynamite! So yummy!)

Our Fall Home Tour

Recently, we hung up a few new frames in our entry way and from the second they went up, I’ve been obsessed with how they look. It’s tied together the entire space…

For the artwork, I printed off different pictures I’ve taken over the years. They look perfect and they’ve completely transformed our entry!

Our living room hasn’t changed too much, but I’m looking forward to making some changes here soon. I’ve been looking at getting a new rug, as well as a round coffee table to give us more space and fit the room better…

Our kitchen on the other hand, has undergone so many fun and exciting changes! We’re so close to having it finished, but we still have a few projects to finish. Our newest additions are the vertical planked walls, our backsplash and the shelves!

I can’t believe how far this kitchen has come. It’s overwhelmingly different from when we originally bought the house

Right before baby girl was born, we had the back splash installed, then we added the vertical planking just in time for the shelves to be installed. It’s all come together just how I pictured, maybe even better. We love it!

Still left on our list, is to build our vent hood, add the pot filler faucet and finish off kick plates for the cabinets and some random trim work. We’re so close!

  1. Congratulations on the new baby girl. Such a blessing. I love, love, love how the kitchen is coming along. that backsplash and those shelves are amazing. It is turning into a showplace. Thanks so much for joining the tour again this season.

  2. First, congratulations on your new addition! Of course I took a detour to see her precious little face! And your home is so pretty … but that kitchen! Wow! I think that backsplash with the vertical board wall treatment is perfection!

Thanks so much for participating in Marty’s home tour series!
