The small town Colorado girl who’s obsessed with home and everything that entails! I’m a creative, a decorator, a day dreamer, a huge fan of scones, and I’m passionate about loving where I live and making a home.
I’ve been so excited to share the happy, wonderful, truly joyful news that our sweet baby girl has arrived! I’ve waited so long to become a mother, and now that our sweet girl is here, Todd and I are both overwhelmed with so much love for this precious gift from God.
Ania Nichelle was born July 13th at 2:43 am. A perfect 8 lbs, 14.9 ounces and 21 inches long. We didn’t have the easiest birth, for her or I, but the important thing is we’re both healthy and doing wonderful after some much needed rest.
She’s a true momma’s girl, loving to cuddle and sleep on my chest and we’ve been enjoying our time together, spending most of our days snuggling and staring at each other. She’s truly precious and my heart overflows with love.
A week or so after she was born, we had my good friend and photographer, Patrice Neil, take some pictures. I will cherish them forever… she’s already changed so much!
We had so much fun posing her for her newborn pictures. She was such a good girl, letting us move her around however we needed to get what we were looking for. Even though her nursery still isn’t done (we didn’t get her dresser delivered until the day she was born thanks to back orders and delays), I still wanted to have pictures taken in her room.
They’re almost more than my heart can handle. Even though she’s over a month old now (how did that happen so fast?), she’s been smiling since she was a few days old. It completely melts Todd and I… it’s so precious. I’m thrilled we were able to capture it during her newborn pictures.
Oh, our sweet Ania… she has our hearts. I’ve said multiple times that I now know exactly how big a mother’s love is… and that I know how much my mother loves me. Your heart truly beats outside of your chest, making it emotional to breathe sometimes. Children are such a precious blessing.
I’ll admit, it was hard work getting her here, but she is worth every second of it.
Now that we’ve had some time together getting to know each other, we’re starting to get into a little bit of a routine. She’s a wonderful sleeper and she loves to eat. Todd has been incredible (no doubts there), and I’ve been soaking up all the sweet baby newness she brings with her. Life is good.
We can’t wait to watch this sweet girl grow… just please slow down! It’s already going so fast!
