Getting Ready For The Vintage Whites Market
Thank you all so very much for all the love and support you’ve been giving us as we are getting ready for our very first show, The Vintage Whites Market! We so greatly appreciate all the happy vibes you send, and continue to send, our way.
Your excitement in the two new items we’ve shared (Chalkboard Organizer & Grain Sack Aprons), have made us so excited! Several of you have left comments, sent e-mails, and have inquired about purchasing your very own since you won’t be able to make the market next weekend, January 9th & 10th. THANK YOU! We are in the process of branching out, can’t believe I just typed that, and I will be answering all your questions about pricing, item availability, etc., as soon as I can. You’re all one step ahead of me, so stay tuned for more info! 😀
Today though, I wanted to share some of the small details we’ve been working on to get ready for The Vintage Whites Market. Other than building items to sell, I’ve been working on a bit more branding for our blog, business and the market.
First, here’s a peek at our product tags, which just happens to give you a great little sneak peek on a new look that the site will be getting really soon…
I have a feeling 2015 is going to be a big year for growth, personally and with this business! And truly, I THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart!
I also made a bunch of “sold” product tags for furniture items that we’ll be selling…
I figured it would be a lot less confusing if there were actually sold tags on items that had already sold. There’s nothing worse than thinking you can buy something, only to find out it’s just been sold. These metal tags will do the trick. And, let’s face it, they’re really super cute. A local friend/ work friend of Anthony’s cut them out, and I’ll be selling a few of them as well. They have the most amazing patina and authentic rust. I’ll probably be keeping some for myself, or have him cut more, to use in home organizing. Lots of that coming my way soon too….
I just used a black chalk marker to make cute designs on each tag. Each “font” is different and I love that I can just use a wet cloth to erase the wording. They truly are perfect for organizing!
And, we’ve also made a social media chalkboard to make it easy for shoppers to find and connect with us once the market is over…
I still have a bit of touch ups to finish it, but I’ve been really happy with how it turned out…
I used a combination of a white chalk marker and white vinyl for the graphics and lettering. I know many of you have asked how I did the lettering on our kitchen chalkboard, so I’m hoping to share a tutorial once we get back from the market.
But, I must say, one of the most exciting things so far has been seeing our “name” on products we’ve built, designed and created…
There’s a huge, big, enormous amount of pride that swallows you whole as you place your name and tag on something. It scares you in all the good ways, and leaves you with all sorts of “what if’s”.
And I have a feeling there’s going to be a lot of those scary, big proud moments over the next few days. Anthony and I are basically done building everything, except for our booth sign which is in the works as I type this post (I’m so excited to see it finished. Ekkk!), so I’ll be setting up the booth in our garage, pricing items, tagging products and packing everything to load into the trailer.
Stay tuned next week for more details, products and pretty displays. Garage or not, I’ll be taking pictures to share. 😀
I can’t wait to hear how your market went. Your’s is my favorite blog. I don’t always comment, but I so enjoy it. You give me inspiration……..

This is all so lovely and I am certain you are going to be quite successful. I especially love the tags, I can’t tell you how many items I have bought because I loved the tag, wrapping or presentation! It is all part of the total package and can really tip me to purchase an item I might otherwise be on the fence about. Looking forward to hearing about your show experience soon.

Hi Shayna ~~
How exciting ~ I wish I lived closer, I would be there.
I remember the first time I received an order and sent it out, it was scary putting your tag inside the package and hoping that the person loved it.
Everything I have seen you create is just beautiful, don’t be nervous, just be so proud that you are doing what your talents are. You are already a success.
God Bless you and your new business.

Rose
