DIY Coat Hanger Towel Holder
Today is Thursday, which means I’m not only on my way to Atlanta, GA to attend my first blogging conference (woot!), but it’s also $30 Thursday!
In case you’re new here, on $30 Thursday I join forces with April from House by Hoff and Jen from Migonis Home to create a project for $30 or less!
And for this month’s project, you probably have all the supplies on hand. Yes, we’re going insanely easy this month…
Let me introduce you to my DIY coat hanger towel holder. It’s silly easy to make and was entirely free…
And the fact that it looks amazing is the cherry on top. 😀
Here’s how I made it:
I started with your basic metal coat hanger. You know, the kind that gets tangled up in the closet…
Then I used my wire cutters to snip one side of the hanger…
I started bending the wire…
And used my pliers to squeeze out the corner of the hanger…
Once I had the corner smoothed out and bent the way I wanted it, I wrapped the end of the wire around the hook of the hanger…
And I kept wrapping it around…
…until I felt it was secure. Then I snipped off the extra wire…
And used some needle nose pliers to squeeze all the wire tightly together…
With that, it was done and ready to use! I told you it was easy! 😀
It feels very primitive/ country to me and because of that, I get all silly happy…
It’s very simple and I love that too…
Plus, it looks amazing with wood cutting boards, ironstone, tea towels and apples… just a few of my very favorite things!
Good thing we have a whole bunch of these hangers… and to think I never thought I’d be able to use them all! 😀
And here’s what April and Jen created this month…
April made this absolutely amazing rustic seashell plank. Love, love, love!
And Jen is showing how to make these shaker style house shutters. Aren’t they completely awesome?
