What I’m Crushing On…

There are a few things that really catch my attention… Things that I have a huge crush on… Things that make me stop dead in my tracks… Things that make home feel even more special…

Things like…

PLAID: Can’t get enough of it. It’s so warm, casual and home-y. And, truth be told, I’ve always liked plaid, but now that it’s popular I’m even happier! It makes finding plaid fabric that much easier!

These plaid blankets warm me right up!

And buffalo check is also fabulous… I’d sit here all day!

KRAFT PAPER PACKAGES: Last year I wrapped everyone’s gift with kraft paper and it’s going to happen again this year. Simplicity is my favorite and kraft paper makes everything look simply beautiful!

I love it paired with natural clippings

And I even love it with stick, twigs and leaves!

SMALL DETAILS: I can’t tell you how many times the smallest details have captured my attention. Just the itty bitty things bring a big smile to my face.

I’m completely in love with the door pulls used as towels racks

And numbered plates… and cutting boards. I think I’ve mentioned that already though…

And numbered stairs… Heck, I just love numbers!

UNIQUE LIGHTING: You all know how much I love different lighting. Just like my farmhouse laundry room light, I like lighting to be noticed and to make a statement….

From swing arm lamps….

Dreamy! Love the beams too, white or natural or stained, they make me feel like i’m home! I’m a tree fanatic, I don’t know when it started or why, but I have pictures of them on my walls, and the beams make me think of outdoors and nature! Ha! maybe that’s why I love trees. I want those blankets, every single one of them. 😀

Ps. I didn't miss your Oct. review…just in case you were wondering lol;)

  7. I agree with all your crushes! One of my greatest treasures is a large, heavy, thick wooden cutting board that my grandfather made for my grandmother over 80 years ago. It has a small hole he drilled in the top so she could hang it on the wall and gently-rounded edges that he carved. It’s scarred and has cuts in it and I love it with all my heart. I don’t cut on it, but I use it for hot plates on the table. Every time I use it I think of all the meals that she so lovingly prepared for him, my mom and uncles, and then for me and our family.

  8. Fab! the chopping board is <3. I admire your home, beautiful :)
