See Ania’s nursery reveal and take a tour of her finished room. I’m sharing the items and paint colors we used to bring her room to life.
What a special day it is! I’m so happy to be sharing Ania’s nursery reveal. Even though she’s almost a year old (like, in a few days), we use her room now more than ever.
When I first started designing her nursery, I envisioned a calming space with soft neutral colors. I really wanted to incorporate wallpaper, but in the end it just didn’t fit like I wanted and I’m honestly thrilled with the outcome. The custom wall moulding we installed was the perfect touch.
But the most important thing, is that Ania loves her room. She enjoys pulling her toys out of her big wicker basket, spreading her favorite books out and playing on the floor. She knows this is her room and it’s sweet to watch her.
I loved filling her room with special little things and meaningful items I’ll enjoy showing her and telling her about as she grows older.
One of them being, these pictures my mom had taken of me in our strawberry patch when I was about five years old. I can’t wait to tell her all about it and my memories from that age.
So far, Ania is my twin and I’m curious to see if that will carry on as she grows. Time doesn’t need to rush though, it’s already going so fast!
I also added my teddy bear from when I was a little girl in with her teddy bear. I found her a bear that resembled mine and it’s a sweet touch that melts my heart. She loves her teddy bear.
Ania’s Nana also made her the most beautiful blanket. I hope she cherishes it as much as we do…
And I honestly couldn’t count the hours we’ve spent in her chair. She loves curling up to read books and to cuddle before bedtime and naps. It’s been such a great addition to her room and I don’t know what we would do without it…
Right next to her chair, we added a little end table, a floor lamp for night time reading and a big basket of books. She loves digging through the basket to pick different books to look at and read.
I also brought in several floral elements to her room. They’re subtle and feminine and will easily grow with her. I fell in love with this artwork and had it matted and framed at our local framing store. It basically set the stage for what I wanted to do in her room.
These truth for today cards for kids are one of my favorite finds for her as well. And they make great artwork too…
I also added in these art prints as well. They’re the perfect touch…
And of course, a pretty bouquet of flowers on her dresser. They are faux, but so beautiful, and I like that they resemble the flowers in the artwork above her crib…
I used this beautiful biscuit jar as a vase and I love how this little grouping has a slight vintage feeling to it…
I kept the area on her dresser top a little less decorated. She likes to touch and grab everything, so having things simplified is best…
I added a hook too, making it an easy place to grab an extra blanket or her bath towel…
Seeing her love and use her room is the best feeling….
Creating this room for our sweet Ania has meant so much to my momma heart. She lights up any space she’s in, and I tell her that often. What a joy she is.
Here’s a few more of my favorite pictures…
We used Super White by Benjamin Moore on all of her trim, closet doors, main wall with the moulding and the bottom half of her other walls. All of the trim and doors are done in a semi-gloss and the walls are in eggshell. The top color is Gray Mist by Benjamin Moore in eggshell.
It’s a beautiful, soft combination.
