TGI-Friday
Happy TGI-Friday! This week has been busy! Between all the Christmas posts here on the blog (are you all caught up?), I had a fun Christmas photo shoot Wednesday, and then I’ve been working on a big living room design for a client of mine! Needless to say, I’m ready for the weekend… and having a schedule free couple of days!
I’ll be sharing more Christmas decorating next week, but here’s a peek from Wednesday’s photo shoot. I call this, grab a cookie (or two) and run!

Here’s some fun things this week:
Let’s talk Christmas traditions… we all have them, and I’d love to hear about some of yours, but one idea I really love (and am thinking about starting this year), is gifting your home a gift for the holiday season. Be it a new pillow, wreath, or a new Christmas decoration, I love the idea of treating your home to something special too… and maybe even starting a collection! How cute are these little white houses? (Hmmm…)
I have an awesome collaboration with Williams Sonoma coming up on Instagram and this wreath is part of it. I seriously can’t even tell you how gorgeous it is. I literally gasped when I opened the box. Not only would it be an awesome gift for your home this holiday season, but why not surprise a family member or friend with one? It’s the perfect unexpected delivery that will leave them smiling!
I don’t think I could love these 99 cent cabinet pulls anymore than I do! (And, 99cents…)
My friend hosted a fun (ugly) sweater & soup Pampered Chef party last night, and she was so kind to have a gluten free, dairy free menu for me! They used this recipe, and I would have bet money it wouldn’t have worked with a gluten free cake mix. Surprise, it did, and I had to try it out before the party so it wasn’t a total flop in front of her guests! Knock me over with a feather. If you’re gf, give this one a try… just make sure you have a good microwave! I used this cake mix! (Also, this soup is really good dairy free too!)
For the ugly sweater party, I decided to make my own out of a black sweater and cream pompom garland that I hot glued into the shape of Christmas tree. It was deemed too cute to be ugly by just about everyone, but this one made me laugh (and this one too)! (Puurrrfect for the cat lover…)
A travel jewelry box… and the perfect gift!
Daily devotions are a big part of my day, and in the past I couldn’t find an app that I loved… until, First 5. I love the devotions, the positive messages, the different studies, and how well it’s organized! I can’t give this one up! Give it a try!
Next week I’ll be sharing how I framed the tree winter scene in the dining room (it’s really easy!)… and also my Christmas tree!
Until next week, have a great weekend!
Hello! quick question: on the “gluten/dairy-free” cake recipe…what did you substitute for the 1/2 stick of cut butter?
Instead of butter, I use Ghee. Coconut oil would be a good substitution too. I also used Ghee in the soup recipe as well. 🙂
