2016 Fall Table

With Thanksgiving right around the corner, I am so excited to be bringing you a fun entertaining post for today, our fall table! I’ve joined forces with several other blogging friends to share beautiful entertaining ideas to get your creativity going! A big thank you to Lory from Designthusiasm for coordinating and inviting me to be part of this awesome group!

Holiday Entertaining

For the table decorations this year, I wanted the main focus to be on the beauty of the fall season. For me, that means bringing the outdoor elements inside, and in the form of tree branch clippings. If you’ve read the blog for any length of time, you know that’s just about my favorite way to decorate. Bringing the outdoors in, always allows for such a big, beautiful statement, but without spending any money! Nature for the win!

My other favorite element for the season, is incorporating lots and lots of candles. They bring such a warm, cozy vibe and they’re easy to incorporate into just about any setting. So, without further ado, let’s take a peak at our fall table!

Setting a pretty table can often seam a little daunting, I totally know the feeling. And while they can also seem like a lot of work, or even too time consuming, I find that once I get started, I thoroughly enjoy the creative process. It’s fun to search the house for centerpiece items, mix china and dinnerware, and even use unexpected items to create something beautiful! That’s the fun part… using every day items, mixing them with unexpected items and bringing them together to create a lovely mix! That’s how this table came together.

I started by creating the base, which was the gorgeous tree clippings. I mixed three different types of branches… I loved the different texture each branch added. It all combined to create a very full, lush and beautiful focal point…

With the tree branches down the center of the table, I added the big, open lanterns that I recently picked up at Gordmans. They were the perfect centerpiece for the table…

I also added in this other lantern (from Target) and I loved the way it tied in with the big open lanterns… the perfect mix!

I bought two little lanterns to match, and mixed them throughout the table with different sized cream and white candles…

For the dinnerware, I used my favorite white plates, and layered them with napkins. (You’ll be able to find the sources below.)

For each place setting, I also incorporated these beautiful copper cookie cutters (from Target’s dollar section!)…

And because I did have so many candles out, I decided to light them all… so gorgeous!

Just for an extra glow, I added a small string of copper wire lighting. I wove it throughout the tree branches and it drastically enhanced the table…
