The Shop Opens In Two Days!

Well… the shop opens in two days! I can’t even believe it! We have been working so hard to get it ready, it seems a little bit unreal that it’s actually time for it to open! 🙂

Two Days Until The Shop Opens- The Wood Grain Cottage

The item I want to talk about today, is our grain sack aprons. I created these beauties when we were going to our first Vintage Whites Market, and I love them just as much today, if not more. These aprons are the first piece of clothing I have ever designed, which intimidated me when I first wanted to make them. I’m not a clothing designer, but I did have a vision for them.

The aprons are made of real European grain sack. They have flaws (don’t we all), and we have made them to be original to each sack. There are not any two that are the same, so these items are 100% original. You’ll have the choice between red stripes, or blue. One pocket, or two. They each have a small detail of lace, which is absolutely lovely paired with the grain sack.

I cannot wait for you to see these. We have put a lot of time and attention into them, and we will have a video coming soon that will give you a real life view of the aprons and how they move.

  1. I got this email for this new shop opening and I saw one thing I’d order for all “the girls” me and a friend…pleated cuffs with a bit of a strip of velvet and I clicked add to cart and kept wondering why I missed your grand opening. Then I saw a coupon code and felt sad as I’d been a reader for a long time so I looked your post and sure enough. It came AFTER that other mystery shop!!! So I’m glad I rechecked. I felt like I’d missed the gala event!!!!
So I’m waiting now let me think. It’s Wednesday. So you’re opening Friday!!!
    Best to your business venture.

  2. I love aprons! I have several for all the different crafts and projects that I do like painting, sewing, rubber stamping, baking (of course!) etc. I remember seeing yours before the show you did, it looks lovely! Will have to add it to my collection!

    Take a deep breath!
