Striped Side Table Makeover

Happy Friday! I’m back today to share another Krylon spray paint challenge project. I’ve joined a group of bloggers that were given the challenge of coming up with a DIY project using Krylon® Spray Paints. We were each given a unique color palette, and we each had to use all the colors in the project. Quite challenging!

In case you missed it, I shared my first challenge project, a sweet tea sign earlier this week.

This time, I decided to give a piece of furniture a makeover… here’s my new striped side table.

Here are the all the colors I had to incorporate into this project: Mambo Pink, Natural Stone Limestone, Citrus Green, Shimmer Metallic Green.

Let me tell ya, those paint colors are bright, but they all work together quite well.

Here’s how I made it…

I started with this cute little side table that I bought on clearance at Target…

Then, I taped off the top…

And then randomly taped off places all over the legs… The first color I used, was the natural stone limestone…

Then I added the shimmer metallic green…

And the citrus green…

While the paint was still wet, I started pulling off the tape…

And because that shimmer metallic green has just the right amount of sparkle, I decided to spray the base of the table with it…

All that left, was the pink, which I chose to use as my “anchor” for all the other colors. After everything was dry, I let it sit in the garage to wear off a bit of the spray paint fume smell, then I brought it inside…

It’s got such a happy little vibe…

And it all works quite well together since it has a neutral wicker top…

Spray paint is definitely an easy way to give a fast makeover… and in this case, a colorful makeover at that!
