Living Room Wall Sneak Peek
Hi there!
I’m just popping in today to wish all my U.S. friends a very Happy Thanksgiving! Anthony and I have been so busy working on projects around the house, including a wall treatment in our living room. I’ve wanted to spend more time on our living room since we’ve moved in and I was finally able to get Anthony on board with it.
I’ll share the full tutorial a bit later, but in the mean time I’m just beyond happy that I’m done painting… and caulking… for real.
But all that painting, caulking and hard work certainly paid off, because we were left with this…
It’s completely changed the way our living room feels and looks and I have so many fun ideas to really make this room feel like us…
So now that we have that big project completed, Christmas has officially moved into the living room and I’ll be sharing my Christmas home tour the first week of December! I’ve joined an amazing group of bloggers as part of a Christmas Party Tour of Homes and it’s sure to be a fabulous week!
I can’t wait… but in the mean time I have so much to do… and lots of yummy food to eat! 😀
See you next week!
Absolutely Stunning!! ( I almost wrote stuffing! hahaha, guess where my mind is?) I can not wait to see it all finished! And Congrats on the invite, you deserve it!!!
THANK YOU so much, Amy! 😀
Happy Thanksgiving… enjoy the stuffing… I will! 😀

Hi Shayna-
I’ve been wanting to do this as well. Is it hard and where to begin.
Enjoy your Thanksgiving

I LOVE LOVE LOVE that wall Shayna!! I love B&B and have it down our hallway… I am so tempted to extend it elsewhere but we have paneling in so many rooms now… I must pin this and show it to my hubby!!
THANK YOU so very much, Krista! These are the first walls that we have done B&B too. I LOVE it! 😀
-Shayna
Love it! I have real paneling painted this yuckie yellowish tan. That is going away as soon as I have the energy and it’s going WHITE too! Then I can accent however I want. Oh yeah and the ugly OLD stained GREEN carpet is going away too. First tho we are having the three windows, old, rotten and falling apart, replaced! Can’t wait! Oh yea and I have a HUGE fireplace that takes up almost a whole wall. Can’t decide what I am going to do with that yet. But I will with help of you and others! Thank you for posting the pictures.
THANK YOU so much, Cindy! I love the white too… it’s the perfect backdrop!
Hugs!

First let me say I LOVE LOVE LOVE the walls! They look great, really great.
And second, wow you have some work to do if you are going to have your house decorated before Tuesday (and have the post written).
Looking forward to stopping by on Tuesday to see how it all looks 🙂
THANK YOU so very much, Ricki! I love them too! 😀
And you’re totally right… I have a TON to do before Tuesday! 😀

Nice walls Shayna, that kind of style suits so many looks – you’ll have so much fun decorating in there – I’m envious 😀
THANK YOU so much, Petra! I can’t wait to add a bit more of our style as inspiration strikes! 😀

I love these walls!! We’re getting ready to do the same to our living room. Could you tell me what type and size boards you used to run lengthwise and how far you spaced them apart? Thank you!
Hi there! Thank you so much! Here is the full tutorial: https://www.thewoodgraincottage.com/2013/12/06/how-to-install-board-batten/
