Thrift Store Milk Bottle

The other day I decided to make a trip to the Salvation Army. That’s one place that really requires a frequent stop. Most times I walk in there and am overwhelmed by all the goodies. But I know that if I gave into my temptation, our house would be full and my husband would start to think that I had a hoarding problem. Let’s not go there- because really I couldn’t handle it either!

However, when I see something that totally grabs my attention it’s typically coming home with me.

My latest trip was a big success. I like bottles. I think they’re cool. And if when we ever do my dream plan for the dining room, we’re going to need some accessories!

🙂

I found this lovely vintage-y/ farmhouse-y milk bottle. I had been carrying around another one that caught my attention, but the second I saw this one, it was all over. Plus, it was $1.00. Boom!

And then, after I got it home, I looked at one of my e-mails from One Kings Lane. Wouldn’t you know it- they had a set of two milk bottle almost identical to my little thrift store bottle! But they wanted $15.00 for a set of two…

Happiness all around! My $1.00 and I are happy, happy!

It’s even double sided.

And the other has the lovely label, which reads “Absolutely Pure Milk”.

The lids are even the same…

Can’t beat that, right?

And as a side note, the lush greenery and pretty white flower is making  me crave spring something fierce.

But this could be part of the reason…

  1. Oh! you are so lucky! only $1.00; I love the bottle and it’s size and colour too! I’m trying to find one; I saw an imitation of a milk bottle at a store and they were asking $20 for it; not worth it! Me too, I can’t wait for spring to arrive soon! 🙂
