2016 Christmas Tree

I’ve been so excited to decorate our Christmas tree this year. I find that it always sets the tone for our home, and starts me on my path for decorating the rest of the house. This year, I had the opportunity to decorate our Christmas tree with the help of Gordmans! I shopped in store for the perfect items that would enhance our tree! I found just what I was looking for! 🙂

As I was shopping the tree ornaments, garland and trimmings, I found a constant, fun theme, which I think is a must for any Christmas tree. I decided on a natural, woodland theme. Lots of pinecones, berries, snowy elements and plenty of red, gold and white!

I’m really loving big bulbs and ornaments this year (swoon!), so I bought a wide variety of them!

I loved the red bead garland and the white pinecone garland! Together, they sing!

Bright white elements mixed with the red and gold is a favorite of mine this year. It feels very much like Christmas!

You also know if you’ve followed the blog for a few years now, that I love real Christmas trees. Yes, they drop needles. Yes, they’re a little messy. Yes, they take more maintenance…. but they are so worth it! The house smells amazing, the needles are bright and vibrant and I love the shape and texture!

And to enhance the texture of the tree, I decided to add a few red berry floral picks. I found them at Gordmans, and sporadically stuck them in the tree. They added the perfect pop of red!

And even though we place the tree in a wood box Anthony made a few years ago, I still wanted to add a tree skirt around the base. I found this fluffy, faux fur tree skirt at Gordmans and love the soft texture it adds to the tree…

I also grabbed the metal basket on my shopping trip, knowing it would be a great place to store and display wrapped gifts!

And just because I’m so happy with how the tree came together, here’s a few more views of it…

So there you have it, our Christmas tree all decorated for the season! I had so much fun shopping for all the trimmings, and then decorating when I got home! I’ll be back to share even more Christmas decorating, indoors and out, plus a few fun projects and some shopping gift lists!

I can’t wait to show you more! In the meantime, stop by your local Gordmans store to shop their selection of Christmas décor, home items and more! Their low prices and great selection will have you hooked! 🙂

  2. It looks terrific. I tried to find the metal basket which is next to the presents but I could not locate it on the site. Can you provide any additional information? Thanks.

  3. LOVE your colour combo for my tree! Red and white are my faves for Christmas, usually with some silver as well. And that white pinecone garland is just beautiful!
