See my step by step tutorial on creating these easy drink tags. They’re perfect for your next gathering and they’re so easy to make!

I have high hopes of hosting a party this summer. It probably won’t happen, but my hope is there none the less. But, even if I don’t get around to hosting the party this summer, the good news is, I’ll be ready for whenever I do….

I’m a planner like that!

These drink tags will come in pretty handy… and they’ll look great. And nobody will ever know how easy they were… except you!

And you totally keep my secrets, so I’m safe!

First, I bought a $3.00 pack of 3 inch round wood disks from the craft store.

Then, I stacked them up & clamped them to the table and drilled a hole near the top…

I loved the natural look of the wood, so I went straight to my silhouette and cut some of my favorite drinks on black vinyl: water, sweet, unsweet, lemonade, limeade.

(Sweet & Unsweet Tea… you knew that.)

Once the words were cut out, I just transferred them over to the wood and pressed them down firmly.

Next, I sprayed them with a few coats of clear poly and tied on a lengthy piece of jute rope.

I can’t wait to use them!

But seriously, are they not one of the cutest things you’ve ever seen?

I couldn’t wait to see what they would look like with my glass pitcher… They don’t disappoint!

And even if you don’t have a silhouette machine, you could easily paint the words on like I did here. No worries!

Now, if only I’d throw that summer party! Maybe you should just head on over… I’ve got the drinks covered!

  1. They’re so dang cute! I’ve always wanted to have tags, like such on hand, but could never find the right thing. Question though, what exactly is a silhouette machine and where can you find one? Is it a cricut? The Cricuts are really cool, but very expensive once you buy all the different cartridges that go along with it? Does anyone have any other ideas for getting the same affect and same projects I’m looking for w/out the price tag?

    1. THANK YOU so much, Nicole! I’m happy to have them in my entertaining stash!
A silhouette is a lot like a circuit. They are a bit pricey… but I’m finding that I use it all the time. If you didn’t want to buy one, you could either paint the words on, or buy scrapbooking stickers to make your own words! Nobody would ever know. 🙂
      Hope that helps!
