It's time to share our Christmas Home Tour! These past few weeks I've been nestled up on the couch battling a nasty cold and wishing it away so I could start decorating for Christmas and spreading the holiday cheer throughout our home. Inspiration wasn't coming to me easily, but I'm finally on the mend and our house is ready for Christmas... even if I'm still doing some shopping and wrapping! Today I'm so excited to be joining Marty from A Stroll Thru Life and the amazing home tour she's created with 30 other bloggers! If you're joining me from Kristen at White Arrows Home, welcome, welcome! Her Wisconsin cabin is beyond lovely and so cozy during Christmas. I could curl up by her ...

Our Christmas Tree
I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving! We've been quite busy around here working on projects, and today I wanted to share our Christmas Tree with you! A few weeks ago, I shared a peek of our new flocked Christmas tree. It's such a pretty addition to our living room and I couldn't wait to come up with a design plan on how I wanted to decorate it. After debating on it for a little while, I decided to slightly alter my favorite tree from a few years ago. It was such a gorgeous tree and I couldn't wait to recreate it in a few ways. I also took some pictures walking you through how I decorated our Christmas tree. It's always fun to see how things come to life, and these ...
TGI-Friday: Our New Christmas Tree, Fun Holiday Baking Items, A Great Winter Coat, & More!
Yesterday I decided to put up our new Christmas tree! It arrived a few days before that, and I was torn on when I wanted to put it up since it's a little bit earlier than normal. Excitement to see what it looked like got the best of me and, well, it's now standing tall in our living room. It's such a beautiful tree, and the perfect size for our living room. I've been debating on how I want to decorate it, and I finally have a plan! The next few weeks will be busy getting the house ready for Christmas, and I'll be sharing the tour, and so many other ideas, starting the first week of December! Get ready, because there's so many good things coming! Other fun things: ...
The Best Flocked Christmas Trees
'Tis the season to start shopping for a new Christmas tree! Since my very tall, beautiful, tree won't fit in our home, I went on a big search to find the best flocked Christmas trees to replace the one I have. I loved my other tree... but with our home having 8' ceilings, there's no way we'd make it fit without it looking like a Clark Griswold tree shoved in the corner. That's not necessarily what I had in mind, so... let's talk flocked Christmas trees! First, let me just lay the ground work and let you know how picky I am about Christmas trees, especially flocked trees. They're not all created equal in the way the flocking is dispersed, and the type of flocking on the tree. I prefer ...
TGI-Friday: Decorating For Christmas & More
Happy Friday! These past few mornings we've woken up to snow on the ground, making things feel a lot more like Christmas, and less like fall. The cold has definitely arrived, and I've been enjoying watching the snow blow around and shine in the sunlight. I'm really excited about decorating for Christmas this year. Last year, we were living in our tiny rental while we were knee deep in demo'ing our Willow House. We did minimal decorating, but did manage to put up a little mini tree to celebrate. This year though, I'm looking forward to spreading the Christmas cheer all through the house like normal. I'll be doing a Christmas Home Tour around the first week of December, and because of ...
Christmas Home Night Tour
One of the best things about Christmas, is watching the glow of the lights in the evenings. There's nothing more soothing or captivating, and I love the way the happy glow makes the house feel. Today, I'm so excited to be joining several blogging friends to share my Christmas home night tour. Rachel from Maison de Pax coordinated the tour, and I'm so happy she included me... this is one of my favorite tours all year. It brings such a different perspective! If you're joining me from Chelsea at Two Twenty One, welcome! At night, the star is most definitely the tree. It brings the most beautiful glow to the entire house... And with all the lamps turned off, the tree ...
Christmas Home Tour
In the past, I've gone all out in the house decorating for Christmas. Every little space had something that indicated it was the Christmas season... and while there's absolutely nothing wrong with that, it all adds up to make me feel a little claustrophobic at the end of the day. It also makes me want to put it all away and start with a clean fresh slate right after Christmas. This year though, I toned things down and the house feels so much better... Instead of adding a bunch of Christmas specific decor items, I went with more of a simplified winter theme. And just like I skipped the real tree this year, I also skipped the real garland too. Last year I had such a huge mess to clean ...
Flocked Christmas Tree
For the past few years, my go to Christmas tree has always been a real, live beautiful tree. But I won't kid you, they're not always the best... Last year the first tree we bought for the living room died within a few weeks, after I decorated it and only a week or so into December. I decided I didn't want to stare at a dead Christmas tree all month, so we bought another one and I redecorated it the same way. And then, there's obviously the clean up from the fresh trees. By the time they go out the door once Christmas is over, they're pretty much fried and those needles go everywhere. I decided to go with a fake one this year to save on my sanity, and bought a gorgeous flocked Christmas ...
DIY Framed Tree Print
Well, I think it's safe to say you all like the DIY framed tree print in the dining room as much as I do! I've been getting a bunch of questions on how I made it, where I got the print, what size it is, and more! It was incredibly easy, and the longest part of making this was waiting in the line at Office Depot while it printed... Please note: Some of the links in this post are affiliate links, which allows me to make a small commission from your purchase, but your purchase price stays the same. Thank you for helping support my blog! Here are the supplies I used to create the print: Digital Tree Print (Asked to be sized to 24" x 36") Printed Tree Print (24" x 36") I ...
Christmas In The Dining Room
This post is sponsored by Gordmans. Christmas in the dining room... does it get much better? I'm not sure. As far as decorating goes, this room is always fun to tackle... but it's also a little bit of a challenge. The wall to wall shelves make such a huge impact in the room, but they can also turn into a cluttered space really quick depending on how much I choose to display. There's definitely a happy medium there, and I'm happy to partner with Gordmans to bring you a fun new display! This year I shifted the entire Christmas decorating scheme in the house and went with a lot more whites, blacks and dark greens. It all feels so clean and cozy, especially in the dining room! You ...
Christmas Table Setting In The Dining Room
Raise your hand if you've ever felt overwhelmed or intimidated by setting a holiday table. If you're raising your hand, know that I've been right there with you. I can remember a time when it felt like a really hard task... but honestly, setting the table for a holiday really doesn't need to be all that stressful or hard... promise. All that matters at the end of the day, is that you're gathering together with family and friends to celebrate. And if we're really being honest, the only necessities are the plates and silverware... okay, and maybe a glass! But we also like things to be pretty too, right? Today, for my Christmas table setting in the dining room, I'm sharing such an easy ...

Christmas Home Tour
Today I'm finally getting around to sharing our Christmas home tour! Better late than never, right? :) I've loved making our home cozy this year. For decorating, I decided on a very fresh take with plenty of pops of red, lots of fresh greenery and garland, and a simple, but classic twist. I love Christmas, but I like to keep it simple with decorating. I want our home to feel comforting and welcoming, which is always my favorite feeling. I have plenty of pictures to share with you today, so let's get started with the tour! To start, let's head into our living room... We recently added in our new shelving, which entirely changed the look and function of the room. The shelves are ...
Christmas Front Porch
I'm finally getting around to sharing our Christmas front porch today! This year Anthony and I actually made time to hang up exterior lights, which seems to enhance all the Christmas spirit around our home. It's been several years, like maybe 6 or so, since we've hung exterior Christmas lights and I forgot how much fun and magic it creates! So much fun! Anyways, here's our front porch all decorated for Christmas this year! This year, I decided to add a big, beautiful real Christmas tree to our porch... I wasn't exactly sure how I wanted to decorate it when we put it on the front porch, but inspiration hit a few moments later and I realized I wanted to include ...
Decorating Our Breakfast Nook Table For Christmas
Oh boy. Our breakfast nook has underwent several new, exciting and happy changes as of late... and I'm not done yet! We have more up our sleeve and I can't wait to give you the 'official' tour. Today though, it's all about decorating our breakfast nook table for Christmas. It seemed like I couldn't love the room anymore than I already do, but then I worked on this table décor with the help of Balsam Hill! I love the room even more! (How's that possible?!) (Pssst. Stay tuned below for a great giveaway!) I've been so excited to start decorating in our breakfast nook since we've added some new, and very much improved, furniture. I'll spill the official details on everything a little ...
My Christmas Wish List
Today I wanted to share my Christmas wish list! I know how hard it can be to shop for family and friends, so this year I thought I'd share what I actually have (and want) on my list! Hopefully you'll find something that catches your eye, or something you maybe even add to your own list as well! :) It's no secret that I love home items. Be that anything home decor related, or kitchen items. I love it all. I'm also a lover of personal items, so my list has a wide range of items. :) Please note: Some of the links in this post are affiliate links, which allows us to make a small commission from your purchase, but your purchase price stays the same. Thank you for helping support our ...
Our Christmas Tree
I've been so excited to decorate our Christmas tree this year. I find that it always sets the tone for our home, and starts me on my path for decorating the rest of the house. This year, I had the opportunity to decorate our Christmas tree with the help of Gordmans! I shopped in store for the perfect items that would enhance our tree! I found just what I was looking for! :) As I was shopping the tree ornaments, garland and trimmings, I found a constant, fun theme, which I think is a must for any Christmas tree. I decided on a natural, woodland theme. Lots of pinecones, berries, snowy elements and plenty of red, gold and white! I'm really loving big bulbs and ornaments this year ...
Our Christmas Table
I think it's safe to say that our home is officially decorated for Christmas... and I'm still not done. We've been making a few fun changes in the house and I've honestly had so much fun doing things a little bit different this year. I enjoy changing up our home, and we've been doing just that... mixing things up, adding in some new pieces and planning new and big projects for next year! My love for home is running full steam ahead! Today, I'm sharing our Christmas table as part of the fun and inspiring "Styled & Set" holiday entertaining group of bloggers Lory from Designthusiasm started and organized! We've all gathered over the course of this week to bring you Christmas ...
Gold Sleigh Makeover
Happy December 1st! Today's project is a simple one... a gold sleigh makeover! The past few years I've had this cute little sleigh stashed away in our basement. It's sat on the shelf because I knew I wanted to give it a little refresh. This year, as I was pulling out all 200 totes filled with Christmas décor, hahahahaha! :), I saw the sleigh sitting there... waiting... waiting on me, waiting on it's chance to shine again. I decided right then and there that this is it's year to shine! I love the way the house looks at night with all the lights illuminating everything. This time of year I find myself wanting to cozy up to the twinkling lights... they make me happy, thus ...
Christmas Tree Night Tour
Merry almost Christmas! It's so fun, and a little bit crazy, that Christmas is this week! I am so excited to celebrate the special day with my family. They are my most beloved, cherished, and sought after gift. They make me happy, and I couldn't imagine a more perfect day, than to be spending it in their presence celebrating Jesus. He is the reason for the season. Today, several of my blogging friends and I thought it would be fun to share our night tour... complete with beautiful twinkling lights that warm the heart. There is nothing I love more, than to curl up on the couch comforted by the cozy lights. They soothe a busy day, and remind me of the place I love most... ...
