A few weeks ago I asked you all to take a reader survey. I wanted to see exactly what you like and didn’t like! I’ve always known we were a DIY couple and blog, but what I greatly under estimated, was how many of you come to get decorating ideas and inspiration. So many of you asked for me to share more of it, so that’s exactly what you’re going to get! 😀

Today, I wanted to start a new series that I’ll be doing monthly. It’s one that I originally found in the Country Living magazine. I love it when they make an entire design based off of a single picture. I look forward to seeing what they put together every month, so I decided to give it a shot too. My goal is to provide you all with a mood board of specific items that “fit” the image. And since I’m a country girl, raised and still living on a family operated farm, many of the images I’ll base my designs off of will be country images. They make my heart warm! 😀

I love the feeling in the picture. It makes me feel like snuggling on the couch with a great book and a cup of hot tea. With that, the picture looks crisp, clean, bright, natural and homemade. So, to combine the two, I mixed both of those concepts together.

And let me just tell you how much I love these paint colors, swoon!

Pulling all of these items together was so much fun. And the result is a room that I want to live in. It’s full of texture, which you’ll find plenty of in the inspiration picture, as well as bright whites, dark contrast, and just slight pops of color. Sounds like a perfect room to me!

I hope you can find something in there that speaks to you, inspires you, or gives you an idea with existing items you own.
