Our Fall Front Porch

September 27, 2019

What a happy day it is, when I get to share our fall front porch. I love decorating our porch. It’s one of my favorite ways to give our home an instant boost in curb appeal and it always gets my creativity rolling. Since I’ve never decorated the front porch of our Willow House, I was even that much more excited.

This is easily the smallest front porch I’ve ever decorated. There’s not a ton of room to do extravagant things, so I leaned heavily on my simplistic side to welcome guests into our home. But as always, I included corn stalks. I always get them from our family farm, and this year my brother let me take some from one of his fields.

I must say, I love the way the subtle green from the cornstalks is mixing with our creamy brick and black front door. It’s really lovely.

I also found a few unique pumpkins at our local Walmart this year… but I will say, I’m really missing pumpkins from my garden. I planted a few pumpkin plants, but they didn’t do very well this year.

If I’m being honest, I love how unique and different these pumpkins are. Todd thinks they’re strange. 🙂

I’m also loving the layered doormat. The black and white plaid rug adds a perfect pop of pattern.

I also added in a few black lanterns… they compliment the door nicely.

And of course, the white rocking chair stayed too…

I used the same wreath I did in my last fall porch, and it pops perfectly off of the black door. It’s striking.

Even though we have a small front porch, it’s still full of fall goodness…
