The small town Colorado girl who’s obsessed with home and everything that entails! I’m a creative, a decorator, a day dreamer, a huge fan of scones, and I’m passionate about loving where I live and making a home.
When we brought in our new table to the breakfast nook from our the upstairs loft of our detached garage, I absolutely loved how the longer, slimmer table filled the space. Our breakfast nook has seen several different “looks” with different furniture. In the beginning, I included a dresser to help fill the space that our little table left to the left side of the room. Without anything there, the room felt a little bit empty, but as soon as we changed the table, everything in the breakfast nook changed. We instantly had a table that filled the main area of the breakfast nook, which I loved. The table is a little bit slimmer than most tables, so we were able to use the best amount of space without it looking too big for the room.
There was one problem though… we didn’t have enough chairs for the room. Last spring we added in the new black and walnut chairs, and I loved them. I even loved the way they looked with the new table. Anthony and I both wanted to buy two more to complete the set, and the table. Determined that was our final decision, I went to buy two more chairs only to find they weren’t available. I was super bummed. I loved their slight modern vibe with the clean lines and darker finish. A perfect compliment to the light and bright (and mostly white) breakfast nook. We were both pretty sad, but I started looking for alternative chairs to finish out the room.

That’s when I found these:
I loved their classic, but slightly modern design, the way they mimicked our existing breakfast nook chairs and their larger seat area… and also that they were affordable and came in a set of two! Bingo! They felt like the perfect chairs to flank the end of the table. They came in two colors, but I thought the white would balance out the table and the room.
They flow beautifully with the other chairs…
I was slightly nervous when I ordered them that the seat stain wouldn’t match with the other chairs. Not that it would have been a big deal, but I wanted them to feel like a seamless part of the room regardless. As soon as they arrived, I opened the box of pieces and parts and grabbed the wood seat to compare it against the other chairs. It was a near perfect match. Ya- to- the-hoo! 😉
I’m so happy I went ahead and ordered the chairs. They’re the perfect addition to the table, and pretty comfy to sit in.
And just in case you’re wondering about the other room sources, you can find them right here:
I’ll be sharing more details about our new light next! Talk about a room changer… things suddenly felt very different once it was up!
And in other news, Anthony and I are finally on the mend, so we’re back in action working on the office. Farming season is heating up, so we’re in a rush to get things finished in there before Anthony is MIA… updates coming soon!
