3 Fall Front Porch’s: 3 Ways- Day 1

October 10, 2016

Happy Monday friends! This week I have a fun series in store for you, and it’s all about front porch decorating! Welcome to Three Fall Front Porch’s: Three Ways!

Since the fall season is such a perfect time to easily and beautifully decorate your home and front porch, I thought I’d give you an extra boost of inspiration by sharing 3 different front porches all decorated 3 different ways! Each porch is very different in size, shape, color, etc., so hopefully you’ll find some new inspiration for your porch!

Here’s a little video I made introducing the series!

The first porch I’m sharing, is my own!

Simplicity is my BFF when decorating our front porch. I’ve done pretty elaborate decorating in the past, and while I always enjoy it, the simple way always wins over my heart. We also live on a working farm, and our house is built right in the middle of corn fields, so we have extra tiny furry friends (mice) who love to come and camp out on our front porch if I have too much going on. The wind also likes to blow, which makes it difficult to do too much. I find myself constantly picking everything up and rearranging, which can be frustrating if it needs done on a daily basis. Simple is the way to go for us!

So, with all that said… Welcome to our front porch!

Since we grow field corn, it’s always the first element I turn to when decorating for fall. I’ve made a video of how I put together the corn stalk bundles, and I’ll be sharing that next week! So if you’ve wondered how I bundle the corn stalks together, and how I get them to stay put, keep an eye out for that video!

Pumpkins are another key element for our front porch, and this year I was able to use pumpkins we grew in our garden! I did pick up the cute little white pumpkins from Home Depot, and I love the way they tied everything together. I’ll be adding those to my garden next year!

I’m still loving the wreath I made last year too… it’s such a big statement for the porch!

I especially love how the wreath ties in with the corn stalks…

Beautiful bounty is what it says in a most artful, way!!! I love all the elements from natural (pumpkins, corn stalks, leaf wreath), to fabric pillows and the rustic metal,of the olive picking pail and the ceramic pot. Very inviting. I’d stop for cider and a treat?
