On The Search For A New Living Room Rug

I’m on the search for a new living room rug and I’m sharing a collection of my favorite large area rug options below, and which one we chose!

Well, it’s officially time to get a new area rug for our living room. With Ania on the move and crawling, I’m wanting something softer underfoot and a little less dirty. If you’ve been a long time blog follower, you know how much I’ve loved my jute rugs. I’ve had them for several years and they’ve served me well.

I’ve always loved how much organic texture they add to a space, but admittedly, some of them aren’t the most comfortable. They can also be a little bit dirty and they do sometimes shed. None of that ever really bothered me… until now. We’re spending more and more time playing on the floor and we’re ready for a change. 

Don’t get me wrong, I still love the jute rugs, and we’ll be moving this jute rug to our basement living room, but in our phase of life right now, and with a little girl who is constantly on the move when she’s awake, it’s time to get something we enjoy sitting and playing on.

And to be honest, I’m looking forward to the change for our living room too.

Our New Living Room Rug

So which rug did we pick? I honestly had a really hard time deciding, especially since it’s hard to tell if the colors on screen will be accurate to the real colors in the rug once it gets here. In the end, it was between this one and this one. But, here’s our winner! I’ve ordered it and I can’t wait to see it in person! It will be fun to change up the living room and bring in a fresh feeling… it’s time! 

I can’t wait to see how the rug looks with our lighter furniture and wood bookshelves! Crossing my fingers (and toes) that the colors in the rug are true to what I’ve been able to see online!

A new area rug isn’t the only change we’ll be making to this space either. I’ve been wanting to change our coffee table to something round for quite awhile now. Not only will if fit the space better, but it will be better for Ania. The sharp corners on our current coffee table worry me a little bit and she’s getting more and more curious about things. 

As soon as it gets here, and we get everything switched around, I’ll share new pictures of our living room!
