The small town Colorado girl who’s obsessed with home and everything that entails! I’m a creative, a decorator, a day dreamer, a huge fan of scones, and I’m passionate about loving where I live and making a home.
The season is aglow with beautiful Christmas lights! Take our Christmas night tour to see our home lit up for the Christmas season and tour other beautiful homes as well!
It’s officially the week of Christmas! I’m so excited for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day as we celebrate our newborn king!
As per tradition, I’m joining a group of amazing bloggers (seriously take the full tour below) and we’re each opening our homes and inviting you in to take a special tour featuring the glowing Christmas lights we all love so much. A big thank you to Rachel from Maison de Pax for organizing this wonderful tour… it’s one of my favorites!
If you are joining me from Shelia at Masion de Cinq, welcome! I love Shelia’s elegant European home and how welcoming she makes everything feel! She recently shared her tablescape idea featuring oranges, cedar and walnuts and it’s such a lovely combination!
Like so many others, one of my favorite things about the Christmas season, is the warm glow of the Christmas tree. It fills our home with such a special light, making everything feel so peaceful and calm. Every year, I look forward to pulling out our tree and watching it transform our home into a different setting. That’s the magic of the Christmas season.
I’ve already shared our regular Christmas home tour, but a few nights ago, I walked around the house with my camera and took a bunch of pictures, specifically focusing on our entry and living room all lit up with the warmth of our Christmas lights.
Our Christmas Night Tour
I love the way our Christmas tree sets the tone for the rest of the house. The red, white and gold Christmas ornaments simply pop on the tree, making the house feel so cheerful…
I’ve been busy wrapping gifts and doing a bunch of baking for family. Last week I shared our Christmas traditions, and those two things are some of my very favorite Christmas activities to do! Let the scent of warm cinnamon rolls, sugar cookies and maple frosting fill the house! Yum!
These next few days I’ll be wrapping up the last few gifts, watching Christmas movies and soaking up every second of our first Christmas with sweet baby Ania…
Even though she doesn’t know what’s going on, and we’ll have to unwrap the presents we’ve bought and wrapped for her, I still look forward to capturing these precious moments with her. She brings so much joy and excitement…
That’s what I love about the Christmas season… how it makes us pause, reflect and celebrate our blessings, big and small. I love how it gives us the urge to curl up on the couch and watch movies while munching on Christmas cookies…
