2016 Christmas Home Tour
Today I’m finally getting around to sharing our Christmas home tour! Better late than never, right? 🙂
I’ve loved making our home cozy this year. For decorating, I decided on a very fresh take with plenty of pops of red, lots of fresh greenery and garland, and a simple, but classic twist. I love Christmas, but I like to keep it simple with decorating. I want our home to feel comforting and welcoming, which is always my favorite feeling. I have plenty of pictures to share with you today, so let’s get started with the tour!
To start, let’s head into our living room…

We recently added in our new shelving, which entirely changed the look and function of the room. The shelves are perfect for adding a simple twist of Christmas…

I layered a bunch of blankets, pillows and cozy elements into our living room. We spend the most time in here, so it makes it easy to curl up on the couch and look at the twinkling lights of the Christmas tree. You can take the full tour of our Christmas Tree here.

Our kitchen also looks festive, but I kept it pretty simple. I love to add wreaths and garland, which looks great and can be left up a little while longer. 🙂

Our breakfast nook has seen the biggest transformation as of late. We’ve switched out several elements, including the furniture, and most recently, the light fixture! I’ll be sharing all the details and specifics a little later!

Our dining room looks so pretty and festive with loads of garland. It feels elegant to me, which is such a lovely view to greet us. The wall shelves are still a favorite of mine, and this year I decided to keep them displaying my collection of dishes and glassware. I also added in plenty of black lanterns and flameless candles. Such a pretty room that’s perfectly Christmas to me.

The entry is also feeling festive this year, but again, I kept it pretty simple. I decided to just add some fresh tree clippings, which really makes all the difference. I also added a few candles. They’re my favorite for creating that cozy vibe. 🙂

And here are a few other pretty pictures from the overall tour. They also give you a good idea of our floor plan. 🙂

And there it is, our Christmas home tour! I hope you enjoyed the peek into our home right now. You can also find the sources to the majority of our items below. 🙂

Christmas In The Breakfast Nook
Happy almost Christmas! 🙂
So beautiful and festive for the holidays! Also, I’m loving the new changes to your breakfast nook 🙂
So beautiful, as always! Love your style, I hope you have a Merry Christmas!
Absolutely love your Christmas decorations this year. We just moved into an 87 year old house three days before Christmas, so enjoying your tour, gives me inspiration!
How delightful!! Your home seems so big I get lost!!! I like all that you’ve done to make your house a personalized home. I like the cart in the kitchen. Seems handy. All very pretty and tastefully done!!! Thank you for sharing.
I really loved looking at your pictures and here’s why. Your home is obviously very beautiful, but what I appreciated the most was that it didn’t look too staged for your photos. It looked real and lived in. I love decorating blogs for the ideas, but sometimes everything just looks too perfect for a few shots and I enjoy it more when I see it really lived in. Those Christmas cards on the table…perfect! I love that! Beautiful home and blog and thank you so much for sharing.
I’ve been following you for inspiration in updating our home. Love all your ideas. Question: Do you have a source for the candy cane picture in your kitchen? Thank you, Christmas BLessings, Beth
Your home is truly an inspiration. Thank you for sharing. I would love to know about your kitchen counters!
