The small town Colorado girl who’s obsessed with home and everything that entails! I’m a creative, a decorator, a day dreamer, a huge fan of scones, and I’m passionate about loving where I live and making a home.
Happy almost Christmas & Christmas Eve! I wanted to share a fun post with you today, our Christmas home night tour! Rachel from Maison de Pax creates this wonderful tour spotlighting one of the most wonderful elements of Christmas… all the gorgeous lights and lighting. Those Christmas trees dazzle right now, and in my mind there isn’t a much cozier view than to sit next to a glowing Christmas tree! Pure bliss!
I especially love our home at night with all the lamps on and the candles lit. It’s warm and glowing and comforting… and I’m all about comforting these days. So, let’s get this tour started!
If you’re joining me from Abby at Just A Girl And Her Blog, welcome to our home! 🙂 Isn’t Abby’s new home beautiful!?
To start, let’s begin in our living room! At night we turn all the lights off, except a few select lamps and the tree. It glows.
And since we have such an open floor plan, our kitchen is just right off the living room. Makes it easy to cook and watch my favorite shows, haha!
And connected to our kitchen, is our breakfast nook. It’s such a fun, fresh and relaxed room.
Our dining room got a big dose of fresh greenery. It smells amazing, and I love the elegant feeling it adds to the room. The big black lanterns are also a favorite element of mine, and the flameless candles make it feel very cozy in the evenings…
And right off the dining room, is our entry. I kept it simple, but I love how it flows with the rest of the house…
And just like always, here’s a few other overall shots of the house. I love the perspective they give. We don’t have an overly big house. The upstairs is just about 2,000 sq. ft., and we have an unfinished basement that is around 1,000 sq. ft. One day we’ll get around to finishing it, but for now it’s basically used for storage. I do love that our floorplan is so open. It makes our home feel bigger.
And just in case you’re wondering about the sources of our home items, you can find the majority of them below. 🙂
