2015 Christmas Home Tour: Part Two
Today I’m sharing our Christmas home tour: Part two. Last week I shared the first part of our home tour, and today I’m back to share the final part.
I have had so much fun decorating our home this year. I’ve kind of just let it happen. I had a tiny plan, but other than that, I let it decide itself as I started placing things around the house. Since we focused on the kitchen and breakfast nook in the first part of the tour, I’ll share a few pictures of those rooms just to remind you where we left off.
Our kitchen…
And breakfast nook, which is my favorite room this year…
Next room on the tour, is our living room. I looove that you can see the two trees throughout the house. It’s so cozy at night when the lights are off. I sit and stare at the twinkling lights…
You’ll find me curled up on this couch at night. Typically drinking hot cocoa or hot tea, and wrapped tight in a big blanket. My favorite. 🙂
I love our big fluffy tree. It’s such a great view…
I’ve pretty much have all of my shopping done, so it’s fun to enjoy the wrapped presents. They add a magical touch to the tree…
I will admit, I’m a pretty simple gift wrapper. I love pretty gifts, but I think they can be beautiful, simply.

I also brought a lot of texture to this room by mixing and layering different rugs. I love the combination of them all. The new patterned rug is from Wayfair. Love, love, love!
I also layered a bunch of blankets and pillows. I love pillows, and I love to curl up, so the couch is always a big heap of pillows and blankets. 🙂
The home sweet home pillow is a DIY project. You can find my tutorial here.
On the other side of our living room, you’ll find this cozy reading nook…
I kept out my framed farm sacks… love them… but added a touch of Christmas to the corner with blankets, and the little faux tree…
I do have to say, those framed farm sacks are one of my favorite additions this year. They balance the room so nicely…
Our house has a very open floor plan, so everything is really connected. The entry is right next to our living room…
We just recently planked the walls in the entry way, and it’s been life changing (ha, at least “decor” changing) for the entire house. Everything flows much better…
This room is still very much a work in progress, but I am loving how it’s shaping up. Lovely.
Bonus points if you notice the new addition to the room. I’ll be sharing details soon! 🙂
And, connected to the entryway, is our dining room!
Some fresh bundles of greenery, and this room was festive!
I used my same DIY sign from a few years ago (I still love it!), because, how true are those words?
I moved around the items on our DIY shelves, but I really like the simple, clean look. Have I mentioned that before? 🙂
And as a centerpiece, I brought in the rosemary I had planted this summer. I love to cook with it, plus it smells amazing and is pretty. 🙂
This is my view from the kitchen sink. Not too shabby, if I do say so myself…
And just in case you’re wondering what it looks like outside, here is our view. I love our life.
So, there’s our tour. I’m so happy to be sharing it with all of these other fabulous ladies…

Looks gorgeous as usual! I love the two trees and the framed grain sacks look fabulous! 🙂 Good work being almost done with your gifts… I’m just about done too, such a freeing feeling!
Oh my gosh your home is so beautiful! I’m obsessed with your open shelving.
Love the more natural look. I went with red and black plaid this year.. I miss that sometimes. Your home is comfortable looking.. Thanks for inviting me..
Love all your subtle Christmas touches… and your fab, fresh FAT trees!!!!
Perfect for getting cozy and gazing at!!
Merry Christmas Shayna.
I love all the warm tones Even though not traditional Christmas colors it still feels very festive!! A+
Everything is absolutely beautiful! I really enjoy the holidays, especially sitting in the evening with just the lights on the tree. Magical!!
I fell in love with your rug from Wayfair. Do you remember the brand and colors? Thanks!
Happy Holidays!

I looove that Merry Christmas flag banner thingy hanging on your deer head! Can I ask where you purchased it?! I need to make/buy one! Beautiful home with such neat decor and pieces…
Thank you so much! I bought the banner at Hobby Lobby! 🙂
I love the Christmas pennants and the plaid!
I admire all the use of black and white—gives such clean and crisp look. The planked walls in the entry. I have had a wall in my narrow sunroom planked and love the finished lines. How does Shayna keep everything looking so clean? Thanks for letting us “into” your home
Pretty and understated. Have a blessed Christmas!
Beautiful!
I love it. The planking is amazing, and I think it highlights all the festive. The layered carpet is brilliant, and I’d easily be tempted to buy that little rug.
Merry Christmas!
Thank you so much for offering such a wonderful giveaway! I would buy a new area rug for our living room.
Gosh your house is beautiful, it looks like a showroom, except homey! I love your kitchen chairs!
Back on the contest widget they asked us to post on your site what we would buy from Wayfair if we won (which is confusing because no one else seems to be doing it). Well, I would get the Oxford Console Table and paint it red; not for Christmas, just because!
I would buy the 72″ Cat Tree by Go Pet Club in black If I win the Wayfair giveaway.
Love your house! So pretty & festive! Love the shelving unit in your dining room! Thanks for the giveaway! If I won I would buy a coffee table.
