New Master Bathroom Tile

Your bathroom is beautiful! Our tub was also nicked when it was installed. Ours is by “Aquatic”. It’s a type of fiberglass. It was repaired beautifully — no sign of where it was repaired. I don’t know what your tub is made of but I would venture to guess, with some searching, you can find the right person to be able to repair it. Good Luck! (our repair was handled by the installer — sorry, wish I could be of more help.)

  2. Nicole says:

The damage to the tub is very unfortunate. I would have been peeved too. If you Google How to Repair a Chipped Porcelain Tub there are several very helpful videos on YouTube.

Subway tile really is timeless. The tile looks great. Looking forward to the finished project. And I’m sure you are as well 🙂 Renovations are exhausting both physically and mentally. Best of luck to you.

  3. Jessica says:

Looks great! You can’t go wrong with white in the bathroom, it looks so clean. I also like how you tiled the window wall above the tub, much better.

  4. Stacey B says:

Great choice of tiles! I adore the floor tile and the layout. We have projects coming up and these are great ideas!

  5. Deb says:

Looks Beautiful! I love the subway! Keep trying to convince the hubby to do subway in our bathroom!

We just did the same thing to our shower. I’m in love with it! Waiting on a glass door as well, but will use a shower curtain until it comes in. You are right about all the dust every where. Each night my husband and I were cleaning up after the installer just to try and have some kind of normalcy.
Love what you did to your bathroom as well. It is all worth it was you step back and see the finished product!

  7. Karen says:

I love your bathroom, especially all the subwy tile. That’s what I am going for when we get around to our bathroom. I also really am hooked on your floor tile. Can you tell me which one you chose from Home Depot? Thanks.

  8. Judy says:

Hi Shayna, I love how the bathroom is looking! We just laid wood look tile in our bathroom and grouted over the weekend. The grout dried about 3 shades lighter than the swatch. I’m not sure I like it. I was hoping for a richer color. I feel that the deeper grout would help the floor stand out more than the color now which blends in so well that the floor looks a bit flat. Are there any “tricks of the trade” that you could share with me to help with this? Thanks so much! ps…this is the first time I’ve done this type of project!!!

  9. Cecilia says:

Looks great! Love your tile choices.

  10. Dawna says:

I love subway tile, white kitchens and herringbone patterns!! Great job!

  11. Vanessa says:

Love it all, it’s gorgeous! I’ve been looking for a light fixture like the won you hung over the tub. Would you mind sharing where you bought it and what it’s called?

Can you tell me the brand and color name of the paint that you chose for this bathroom? I love the warmth of the color, but i havent been able to find what i want to accompany our light wood floors and dark vanity!

    • Shayna says:

Thank you so much! The color is White Dove by Benjamin Moore. It’s a wonderful, soft color that pulls a little bit creamy-gray-ish. I hope that helps! 🙂

  15. Michelle says:

What are the dimensions of your shower? And how big is the corner – a seat or just a place to shave legs?

    • Shayna says:

Our shower dimensions are: 47″ wide x 52″ deep x 85″ tall. Those are all inside measurements. The corner bench is actually a seat, but works well for shaving legs too! 🙂

  16. Laura says:

I love this bathroom! We are about to renovate our tub and shower on a tight budget and your bathroom is inspiring! How far apart did you space the subway tile, and what color grout did you use? I love that the tiles are close together but still far enough apart to see some detail with the grout. Beautiful!

  17. Stacey says:

I realize this is a long ago post, but hoping you reply… how big is your shower stall. It looks fairly roomy, even with the bench, and I am hopeful it is not bigger than 36″x36″ (trying to envision in our upcoming bathroom reno…
    Thanks in advance…

Long time since your post on bathroom but do you remember the color grout you used with subway tiles?
