Today I wanted to share a recap of The Vintage Whites Market. We got home on Sunday and started unloading the remaining items from the trailer as soon as we pulled into the driveway. Luckily, we didn’t have very many things to unload! I thought I might get a post up and ready for Monday, but turns out this girl was pretty tired. Monday was basically my “lounge” day. I read a book, did laundry, sorted through the numerous bags I took to the market and slept. Glorious down time!
There was so much prep work that went into the market, then the actual market, and it’s a bit funny how quickly the actual market flew by.
We arrived in Denver Thursday night, had a quick dinner with Anthony’s parents, then drove another hour to Loveland. Since we hadn’t been to the facility yet, we wanted to drive by and figure out where we needed to be the next morning. Friday morning, we woke up bright and early, then headed to the facility to start unloading our trailer. We had walls to set up, a packed trailer to unload, and empty boxes to pack back into the trailer once the booth was staged. It took us all day, but we were ready for the Friday night early shopping event by 4:00, which gave me a chance to run back to our hotel and change/ freshen up a bit. As soon as I got back, I started taking pictures of the booth before the first set of shopping started.
As I mentioned before we left, we had a lot of items to bring. We signed up for a 10′ x 20′ booth, and when we originally signed up, I was worried we wouldn’t have enough things to fill it full. Boy was I wrong…
Anthony and I built moveable walls, and they really did make all the difference. Bonus: they can be used over and over, and over again!
We were the very first booth as people walked in. Friday night was busy, but much, much slower compared to the actual even on Saturday. We were able to talk to people a lot more on Friday night. There were so many wonderful people, and so many blog readers! All of your support is so very important to us!
We had furniture that I’d been refinishing, chalkboard organizers, cotton, wood crates, stack able crates, railroad spike wall hooks, wreaths, ribbon and so much more!
And I hadn’t had a chance to share our new sign yet, but it turned out fabulously and was such a huge hit!
Friday morning once we got everything un-packed, I was in full styling mode. I had set the booth up in our garage with the general placement of where everything would go, so that helped tremendously when it came time to place furniture in their spots…
For the center of the booth, Anthony and I refinished a table, then built a stainless top for it. Oh. my. goodness. It’s such a fabulous table and the perfect place to display items. It didn’t sell, but I’m completely ok with that. It might just make it’s way into our dining room really soon…
And the grain sack chairs. Oh my.
And the grain sack aprons…. I still have some left.
We even took a couple of our metal & wood wall organizers. They sold fast.
And speaking of things selling fast, the cotton stems and wreaths sold out in the first few hours of the market on Saturday…
As did the dried lavender…
We had chalkboards, just like the one in our kitchen. I even made two lights just like the one in our laundry room. They sold fast too!
The burlap placemats…
Recipe boxes and tea towels…
Lavender pillows made by my momma…
Metal cake stands…..
Measuring cup batter bowls…
Pillows and blankets…
All found new homes ready quick! And so did this pretty lady… Good thing we had two, because as soon as Anthony pulled the extra out of the box, it sold too.
It was such an amazing event. I couldn’t believe how many blog readers were there on both Friday and Saturday! Turns out several of the other vendors were blog readers too! I really can’t thank you enough. Your support, kindness, sweet comments and hugs mean the world to us!
And, if you were standing in line on Saturday waiting to check out, THANK YOU! I had absolutely no idea our booth would have waiting lines at check out. Everyone was so patient and kind.
Anthony and I can’t thank you all enough. Even though we’re only 13 days into the new year, big things are happening. From the bottom of both our hearts, THANK YOU!
As many of you mentioned while you were shopping, it is absolutely terrific and a dream come true to get to work with my hubby. We are a husband and wife team. And it is amazing!
So, I can honestly say that our first market was a huge success. We really didn’t know what to expect, but everything exceeded our expectations by a long shot. I never anticipated that we’d have a booth full of people waiting in line, items swarmed, and so many new friends! Big things, changes, and exciting new adventures are under way! I can’t wait to share more!
And, let’s just say, we’re already planning for our next market. 😀
Here’s to sending each and every one of you the biggest hug I can give!

I wish I would have arrived earlier in the market or had an early shopping pass. It looks like you had so much fun stuff! By the time we arrived it was Saturday late afternoon. Hi Shayna,
Everything looked beautifu! I wish I lived closer because I would have been there and bought sooo many of your beautiful things! I LOVE the drying racks, and I love your cute cow head! I would have bought her for sure! I probably would have had to fight somebody for it as you said you only had two and they both went fast! If you were to sell the items you have that didn’t sell at the market on a website, I would definitely be interested in buying! Thanks so much for sharing your talents for decorating and creating with us!!!
Shayna, I don’t know you and live far off in Massachusetts, but you and your husband are so cute, obviously work great together, and do great work! You deserve all the blessings God sends your way. Keep up the great work, love your blog.

I too believe an Etsy page would be incredibly successful. You and Anthony have incredible talent. Congratulations on the Market. I knew you’d be a success. I’m very happy for you both.
Thank you so much for sharing your booth for those of us who couldn’t make it. You have great items and I’m full of envy. I do have an etsy shop and is very different. Those of us that wish you had one really just want to buy from you…I have been tinkering with the idea of showing at a market that goes on 4 times a year by me. Really great but a lot for me to consider. Please when you can share your pros, cons things you’d do different what it really took to get to the ready point. While I would not have to travel more than hour I look at the up front money layout.
Please let us know about your next show. I think you’ll be doing this again.

Recently found your blog and I really love your style, I live in Colorado too [southern Colorado] and was wondering if you have a booth at an antique shop or an online store that i can purchase from? or maybe you have some recommendations on where to shop because I cant seem find any good shops for farmhouse/rustic/industrial decor. Thanks!
Thank you so very much! We are in the process of opening an online shop, so stay tuned! 😀

Oh my heavens, I’ll take one of each 😀 Are you thinking about opening a store now ? Cause that would be the logical progression, right ?? Rest up, I’m sure you will be very busy from now on ( : Have a great day tomorrow. Sincerely, Diena <3
