Christmas decorating has been underway at our home for weeks. Well, since I shared our Christmas kitchen shelf. Since then though, I’ve had so much fun adding more decor and tweaking the things I’d already placed around the house. I love when all the Holiday decor feels connected, seamless and flows from room to room.
Today, I’m sharing bits and pieces of our dining room shelves all decorated for Christmas, with the help of Kirkland’s and their Decor the Halls campaign. The plan was to implement three “surprise” items, then shop for a few more things to really take our Holiday decorating to the next level. And those three surprise items? Well, they are lovely!
Every time I get the chance to change up our dining room shelves, I do. I love playing with them. It always takes me a while to get them just right, but I enjoy the time it takes! For our Christmas display, I started with my center focal point, the chalkboard, then added in my wreath I made from garland last year.
With those in place, I added in the “surprise” items, which consisted of the lovely rope lantern, red chalkboard easel and the two smaller glass lanterns with the wire handles.
And of course, I had to keep all of my ironstone in place. It makes my heart so happy, plus it looks absolutely fabulous with everything. I also added in several bits of gold and copper…
I found the copper tray in the store and knew it would be perfect for a little drink station…
And those white mugs had me at hello too. I decided Anthony and I each needed our own monogrammed mug. Now, we can curl up on the couch and know exactly which one belongs to us! 😀
To help create a bigger display of the glass lanterns, I picked up a few of those larger lanterns too…
That big lantern was just begging to be filled with something amazing, so I added in one of my favorite antique market finds: these amazing jingle bells…
I also made sure to add plenty of pine cones, fresh cranberries and greenery!
I’ve also teamed up with with three other lovely ladies. They each received the same “surprise” items I did, so I’m excited to see how they decided to use them!
