Living Room Wood Chandelier

I’m sure by now you know we have a thing for wood…. And I’m sure you also know that I love the combination of white and wood. It does all sorts of silly things to me, like giving me heart palpitations…

We’ve also been slowly working on our living room. Emphasis on slowly.

But, as luck may have it, today I get to share our new living room wood chandelier…

When we built the house, we installed a big ceiling fan thinking that we would need it. Well, two years later, that ceiling fan had been turned on a total of zero times. I’m not exaggerating about that either. Zero. We didn’t fully know what to expect with our geo thermal heating and cooling system, but let me just say it’s utterly amazing and ceiling fans are absolutely not necessary.

Needless to say, I really wanted to do a little living room light switcheroo… So when my cousin said they’d buy our ceiling fan, I jumped at it. A few days later I found myself at Home Depot buying this beauty, which Anthony and I have had our eye on for months and months and months

Once I got it home, Anthony and I started assembling…

This guy… sigh… he gives me heart palpitations too!

Then we temporarily hung it up to measure how high to hang it, which ended up being at 7 foot high…

Then Anthony started wiring it up…

It’s basically one of the prettiest light I’ve ever seen…

And I’m absolutely thrilled with how it looks with the other lighting we’ve replaced so far…

And have I mentioned that it’s just perfect for everything else I have planned… or that I love the way it looks with our board & batten walls

Oh the things I have planned… but in the mean time, I’m super thrilled with this little living room light switcheroo!

  3. This is just beautiful. I can see this in my family room, replacing the unused ceiling fan! Or maybe my master bedroom…..ohhhh! I see myself heading out!

  4. It’s beautiful! What a wonderful switch. It looks as if it was made just for you. I love how it pops out at you against all the white around it. Gorgeous!

  5. Love it. Looks great. I had to make a deal with my husband lol. He helps me in the yard and hang a curtain rod if I work out with him. One workout and I think next time I will hang my own rod and pull my own weeds. So sore. I promised him a month so we will be ready for clothes for Hawaii. I guess the pay off will be good. Have a great day!

    1. THANK YOU so much, Pam! You made me smile SO big! Just think how great your going to look in Hawaii! Lucky you! 😀

  6. Love this look! I’m so ready to get rid of the ceiling fans but unfortunately we do still use them. My kids would have a fit if I got rid of all of them! 🙂 But this is absolutely gorgeous! Looks great in your beautiful room!

    1. THANK YOU so much, Sonya! I totally know what you mean about ceiling fans… I can see that we’re probably going to be replacing all of ours… 😀

  8. Hi,
I love your renovations! What color white is this that you used throughout your home? And if you dont mind me asking as well, where did you get your couch? I really like the color and texture of it!
    Thanks

    1. Thank you so much, Brittany! The white I use is Super White by Benjamin Moore. I love it! Our couch is from American Furniture Warehouse. I love it too! 🙂
