Numbered Side Table Makeover
I really like numbers, so today I’m sharing my cute little numbered side table makeover…
I’ve had the little side table for awhile. It’s sat in our guest bedroom, waiting for inspiration to strike… and it finally did…
I’m so happy with the way it turned out…
I started with this:
There wasn’t anything wrong with it, but it didn’t feel like us… One makeover ordered!
I painted the round shelves with the new Chalky Finish paint by Deco Art in Primitive. It’s the same color that I used on my side chair makeover, but I knew it would look fabulous with the stained wood…
After two coats I had complete coverage and let it sit overnight…
The next day I whipped up some vinyl letters and placed them in the middle of each shelf…
Then I just traced around the number with a pencil and pulled off the vinyl…
I painted the inside of each number with Relic in the same Chalky Finish paint, and let it dry. Once everything was dry I used a piece of fine grit sandpaper and went over the entire shelf, number included…
After I cleaned it off…
I waxed it with the Clear Creme Wax, also by Deco Art.
With that, it was done.
It’s new home is in the breakfast nook, and I’m in love with how it looks in there…
It’s created the perfect place to curl up with a good book…
And those numbers… sigh… Those numbers!
I couldn’t help but use my DIY rosette pillow in the pictures, because really, this whole corner is so super JOY-ful!
And full of my favorite things, like hot tea…
And Rosemary, which smells fabulous by the way…
And of course, the numbers…
And did I mention that those sweet little shelves fold down, because they totally do…
I. know. You don’t need to tell me. I’ve already thought it a hundred times…
But I think I’ll just go sit and enjoy my hot tea… and think about it a few hundred more…
