Very nice. Here’s my helpful tip having painted tons of walls in my lifetime. When painting a dark color over white (especially red or black as red will turn pink because the white underneath telegraphs through). It’s important to prime the white wall with a grey tinted primer. It’s an extra step but sure helps red look red and black look black. Great job on the planned wall….looks fab!

The colour is great…..I love that you used up some leftover paint. I went through my cans yesterday, and now I’m looking for a surface that needs a refresh!

Gorgeous!! I’m so glad you got flat paint. I just was not thinking and I got a law shine from Sherwin Williams but it’s quite shiny to me and emphasized all the imperfections of the wall. But your design ideas are great!!! We got a tinted primer –tinted to match our paint– and it went on quickly. It dried by the time we got to the end of the wall and then just one coat of dark paint covered it all with no problem. I’m so glad you got a freebie cost though!!! It did cover great as is!!! I’m glad your health seems better so that you can do projects.

If the headboard I was covering would have been at all bright or patterned, I would have had to cover it before I used the final fabric, but the tan fabric of the existing board blended perfectly.
