I'm Shayna
Spring is definitely in the air and things are in full bloom around here! My tulips have popped up, and the daffodils are bursting with color! And the birds, let’s not forget their cheerful chirping. I’ve really missed them!
Since things are really feeling like Spring outside, I thought the inside should too. And there’s no better place to start decorating, than our dining room shelves. They’re still one of my very favorite DIY builds, and I love to change them up for the seasons.
Every spring, I love to pull out my bright green apple wreath. I’ve had it for years, but it’s so refreshing to see cheerful pops of color, and this year is no different!
Plus, there is plenty of the pretty ironstone and neutral dinnerware to balance it all out…
And I made sure to toss in a few real green apples too. They make it all come alive…
Our dining room is definitely feeling like Spring!
And even though our shelving isn’t technically a mantel, it’s as close as I’m going to get. All of us without a mantel can unite! 😀
A big thanks to Sonya from At Home With The Barkers and Melissa from Daisy Mae Belle for inviting me to share a little spring decorating.
There’s a group of us sharing spring decorating ideas over the next few days, so if you want to gather some inspiration, we have you covered. Here are the other ladies who are sharing today…

I love your Spring mantel. The wreath may have a few years on it, but it still looks good and ties your look in very well. Also, the addition of the wire creates and the iron stones are nice touches. Love it!!!!
Oh I’m jealous that you have tulips and daffodils blooming outside! We still have lots of snow here! Love your Spring decor and I’m an ironstone collector too! So so pretty!
Your shelves make the perfect “mantel”! And they look beautiful! LOVE those green apples! They are perfect for Spring! Thanks for joining us on the tour! Enjoy Utah! Life to the full! Melissa
I LOVE YOUR SHELVES!!!! I wish I had room for them in my kitchen! You have inspired me to put some beautiful shelves in my breakfast room! LOVE the white and neutrals with the pops of green. It is truly my favorite color combo! I’m leaving very inspired!!! So fun partying with you Shayna!
Woo! Love this, especially the green apple wreath hanging on the chalkboard~~I would have never come up with that, but it looks fantastic! Also, wherever did you find that fireplace screen, I’m having trouble finding one to fit my raised hearth. That one is so purty too….
Whoops, got my photos mixed up…about the fireplace screen that is! *blushing* The pretty green apple wreath and chalkboard obviously belong to you though, LOL! Sorry….
So pretty! I keep my white dishes on display around my kitchen and dining room because they are just so pretty and shouldn’t be hidden behind kitchen cabinet doors!
In the third photo, it looks like Pfaltzgraff Heritage small bowls but are those Heritage covers on top from pitchers? I have a few of those bowls and would love to top them!
Thanks for sharing your beautiful shelves.
Julie
