I can’t wait to see all of it!! 😀 Patience is a hard thing to learn, especially if you don’t have any when it comes to things like this! I know exactly how you feel!

  2. Wow – that is quite a list Shayna!! Can’t wait to follow your progress throughout the year:)

  3. Nan, Odessa DE says:

Come on third time to ask: wherfe did you get the towel rack used on the end of the counter in the kitchen?
Als0, the black curtain rods in the living room. I like the black rod but it isn’t easy to find.
Thanks for sharing! Enjoy your blog.

    • Shayna says:

THANK YOU so much! The towel rack came on the kitchen island when we bought it. I’ll be posting more about the island tomorrow, so stay tuned!
The black curtain rod in our living room came from Ikea. They are great and very reasonably priced! Highly recommend!

Wow, that is some list. I do understand though. Today I finished demo’ing the the last level of the chimney. I look forward to seeing your progress knowing someday I will be to the stage you are at.

  10. Wow … your really have your work cut out for you this year. Good luck. Love to see the end results. Your house looks lovely. I like the plank walls very much.

P.S. I love those plank walls too!

  11. Wow, if this were my house, I would add a new kitchen backsplash and call it done, done, and done! Then I’d make myself a hot cup of tea, march on out to the back porch, sit and put my feet up and watch the corn grow! Ha ha! But I know, we are never done, right? Seriously, I have loved every project you have shared this year and although I have no idea how you could possibly improve upon what you currently have, I know you will. 🙂

    • Shayna says:

CHRISTY! THANK YOU so very much for the super sweet comment! I would love to be able to stop at the back splash, then make a cup of hot tea and watch the corn grow… but then I would be looking for something to do and Anthony would be begging me to complete another house project! 😉
Sending BIG hugs your way! 😀

  12. Robin says:

I have a similar list of items I’d like done. Lists are so handy aren’t they to keep you on track. Good Luck getting everything on your list accomplished this year. I’m excited to see the changes. They may just inspire a new project for my list. LOL.

    • Shayna says:

THANK YOU so much, Robin! I can’t wait to get started on our list! 😀
Good luck with your project goals! 😀

I absolutely love the board and batton in the living room. My only fear is all those ledges requiring dusting. It’s bad enough to have to dust the tables but now the walls! Do you find it a real problem or do you like to dust? I hope this doesn’t sound flip, I sincerely want to do this but the dusting is holding me back.

    • Shayna says:

THANK YOU so much, Ann! I love the board and batten on the walls. I was completely worried about having to dust them too, that’s why I only installed one cross bar at the top. I had originally wanted to do several. Honestly, I haven’t had to dust it yet…I hope that helps! 😀
